"I originally moved in here because it was cheap and the location was convenient. A couple of months ago this review probably would have been 4 stars. I would say everything was fine not exceptional, but good at the price point. However, the management has recently switched and things have gone seriously downhill. The systems to get pool passes and visitor parking passes were changed to be far less convenient. The common areas have not been upkept to the same standards. The water in the gym is always empty. A few of the pool balls went missing and were never replaced. Most recently, there have been mice in at least one wing of the building. I keep my apartment reasonably clean and we are on the 4th floor. After a few attempts by maintenance (who typically are pretty good) the mice persisted. This forced me to not want to renew. This happened with fewer the 60 days left on my current lease (39 days). Because of this I am being charge a fee. The new management has been unwilling to be flexible with this despite me explaining that I am moving because MICE have become a serious problem within the 60 day limit."
"I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I regret the day I signed the contract. They treat you nicely in the beginning until you sign and then nobody ever cares or respond nicely. They always make me feel like I live there for free or work for them. Not what I need when I come home. Laundry is filthy and always full, dirty hallways. I’ve been living here for months and still never got a door code even if I call at least twice a week to set it up…… Not clean, and not a friendly staff. I even found a mouse in the hallway 1st floor and emailed the video to the property manager expressing my worries that it will reach our apartments but she never bothered to respond. I called the office but nobody cared. What I was afraid of happened and I found one in my kitchen, called the office million times but they just never care. The lady said the pest control won’t come until Friday which was 4 /3 days away and told me that she will send someone from maintenance to check for holes , since I had no choice I said Fine! But that was 2 months ago and nobody ever showed up. Not the maintenance and not the peat control. I had to find someone to come catch it. Here we go again I just found another one so what am I supposed to do now ? Pay for it myself ? While I pay a pest control fee every month ?? Can someone contact me and solve those problems ? Or should I just take the next step and file a complaint to the Department of Housing and Urban Development ?"
"Convenient access to metro. The problem is the management, the service is very poor. I left the apartment because of the cockroaches infestation, the dirtiness of the common areas, the lack of repairs to the building, doors, keyfobs don't work, elevators very dirty with onions, banana peels and trash. We asked the management many times to fumigate the aparment, they came three times but the management doesn't care, I think that they didn't do anything because the infestation was there until we moved out. It is been two months that I left, they told me that they will send the Deposit, but, so far I did not received anything."
"Avoid at all costs – this is no longer a good apartment in Falls Church. I lived here for 6 years. From 2016 to 2021, this place was really good. With staff turnover and bad office management, this place became unlivable. Cars were broken into in the parking lot. Literal package theft from the package room. Persistent smell of weed on the ground floor. Kids ding-dong ditching in the hallways. Kids using the building entrance/business center to play ball, making it hard for people with pets (or anyone really) to enter and leave the building. Management was unwilling to fix anything. The only community update emails were reminders to pay rent on time, lol. And the cherry on top of this total lack of sundae is that it took 80+ DAYS and a dozen emails to get my security deposit after move out. The office charged me an extra $200 by using the wrong move out date, which I clearly told them in person and in writing several times. The property manager only responded to threat of legal action. They just were incapable of moving faster than 80 days. Roosevelt Towers gets one star only because I can’t give them zero. The only good thing is the maintenance team, which is absolutely stellar."
