Margate Manor 3954 Persimmon Drive, Fairfax, VA 22031

"I have lived in Margate Manor for about 6 months. In my case, I have never seen any issue, rather I think that this is a good, safe, well-managed, and clean place. Especially my unit is a fully renovated unit with a new flooring , new appliances, and a new paint, it is just like a brand new apartment inside. Price is very reasonable, the layout is nice and spacious, the community is peaceful, and the location is great. When I moved in, Shannon took care of my moving, and she was very kind, professional, dilligent, and effective in everything. She still is. Fernando (maintenance) was also very kind and quick to fix anything. This place is aged but I think that it has been managed well with good care."

"The apartment is very old and run down. At building 3954 and others there is a mice infestation which the property management did not do anything about. We caught over 20 mice at Apt 204 which i feel sorry for whoever is living there right now. When we complained they kept sending the exterminator but he did not do anything but add mice traps and leave. When we complained repeatedly one of the office employees said its an old building it is what it is. Our entrie apartment was full of sticky mice traps all over the place. They charged us over $500 for just cleaning a 900 sqft apartment even though they replaced almost everything in the apartment. If you google it, cleaning companies usually charge $100 - $150. You are not allowed to park your vehicle for over 14 days in the parking lot even though you are a resident on the property. People on vacation for over 2 weeks will get their vehicle towed. Keep in mind you will never get your deposit back. I do not recommend living there ever. Unless you don't mind mice crawling all over the place as pets. I found mice droppings all over the apartment including my kitchen utilities which i got rid of. Please see photos for evidence."

"Mice infestation for years and management didnt do anything about it. We killed over 20 mice and it kept getting worse. Rude as hell management and they would tow your car after 30 days even if you are travelling abroad for more than a month. Repair people would go into your house without notice or permission. You can hear people walking all over and sewage system is very old that mice just chew right through and infest your walls."

"I've lived at Margate Manor for several years now and have been very happy. Of course it doesn't have fancy amenities - that's why it's so affordable. Even though it's not new, the staff is very responsive and welcoming. Maintenance requests get addressed quickly. I also love how pet-friendly it is. The apartments, though older, are spacious and I find that the sound between apartments next to each other is barely noticeable. Sometimes you can hear the person above you walking around, but nothing out of the ordinary. The reason I love living here the most, though, is that it really feels like a family community that looks out for each other. Many of the other residents have also lived here for several years and are friendly and welcoming. The location is also prime - so close to stores. Basically, if what you want is safe, affordable, nice, low-key living - this is the place for you."

"The apartment is in the good location for school, nearby shopping such as Shoppers Food, Trader's Joe, Hair Cuttery and more. However, the apartment is really old; I have lived here for over 8 years, but they haven't changed the carpet since the previous residents moved out , so when I move in with the very old and dirty carpet. I asked the manager office for all the maintenance, all of them are really mean, rude and irresponsible. The light bulbs on the stair which keeping people safe, they are broken, and it literally took them more than over a month, and hasn't been fixed yet. I do not think this apartment will be safe for children and elderly since they do not have any safety precautions and consider for the good quality of life."
