Extended Stay America - Washington, D.C. - Fairfax - Fair Oaks Mall

"Awful place to stay!!! Have been dealing with an inconsiderate guest that smokes in their room and the noxious smell gets in my room from my bathroom vent!! TWO WEEKS and EVERY SINGLE NIGHT of dealing with this and hotel management can’t seem to figure out who is the idiot doing this! This is suppose to be a “NON SMOKING” hotel!!!! How am I suppose to get a good nights sleep or be able to use my bathroom without gaging, having irritated eyes, sore throat, etc?! This is nothing short of despicable and I’ve had enough!"

"The beds and bath were clean. The kitchen and freezer were dirty, very dirty. After several trips to the front desk I asked for, and was given cleaning supplies and cleaned the kitchen myself! The floor had not been cleaned, small toy, crumpled napkin, broken hangers… During our 4 day stay, I complained 3 times. Staff apologized, then told me I should have changed rooms. I’m elderly, disabled, and exhausted after driving 8 hours. Instead of putting the blame on me why didn’t they offer to help us into another room?"

"I was shocked at the absolute lack of professionalism in the front desk rep. Wouldn’t tell me his name but had a thick middle eastern accent, I’m a new business owner and simply inquired about the rates and if they offered discounts for organizations wanting to purchase hotel vouchers. I own a very new and small woman owned business in the community I advocate for abuse victims and help women with resume prep interview prep when they leave an abusive situation The front desk employee said verbatim “Look I don’t do charity I don’t care who pays but send them to a shelter” then placed me on hold then hung up So I tried the next extended stay and literally got the same treatment and will post there. Had he took the time to listen he would understand that I had several thousand dollars to simply buy vouchers at a bulk rate and on top of that drive business to him because I have 4 clients looking for long term stays in the fair oaks area. For reference this happened on January 9th 2024 around 430 - 5pm EST"

"I had a very nice surprise checking into the Extended Stay at Four Oaks Mall. After a long frustrating day driving, the night clerk, Ather Jamal, was so friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure my evening started out pleasant. The room was very nice and the location was convenient. I will definitely return to this hotel!"

"My experience was great here. Something came up of extreme urgency and I had to leave. My belongings were left in the room and Jagdish was kind enough to store my property until I came back to retrieve them. Thank you so much. The rooms are excellent and in great condition."
