"*CURRENT TENANT* My roommates and I have been contacting management to find out when the gym and clubhouse will be available. We were told that it is under construction because it was broken into… we are paying $575 a month before utilities. We signed a lease that stated we would have access to the amenities, and have not been able to use them. Other reviews from previous tenants say that the clubhouse has never been finished… super frustrating. Will not be resigning."
"JMU STUDENTS DO NOT LIVE HERE! Management is terrible/ nonexistent. We were told the club house would be finished when moved in summer of 2021, it is still not finished to this day Wifi is terrible, cable tv stopped working half way through the year and was never fixed. Furniture that comes with the apartment is extremely cheap. Upon move out my roommates and I spent days cleaning the apartment and left it spotless but still received still each of us received a $140 dollar deduction from our security deposit. JMU STUDENTS save your time and money live somewhere else!"
"I wish I could give them zero stars. They lied to us about the gym and pool being done, said it would be done when we moved in back of August of 2021, it never finished, in fact I never saw anybody work on it. They dont have blinds, I literally left my blinds there for the next person and they charged me even though I was helping them out. It is the worst apartment complex at JMU, probably in Virginia. I literally lived at a place that was infested with cockroaches and that place was still miles ahead better of this place. Also the wifi sucks and everything is so cheap. Do yourself a massive favor and never live here. The maintenance guy is dope though but other then that, this place blows. All they care about is your money. DO NOT LIVE HERE YOU WILL SERIOUSLY REGRET IT."
"The manager & whole team here are the most awesome I’ve dealt with! They were kind and understanding through all my questions for my sisters upcoming move, and matched her excitement for moving in!! + new amenities coming = 5 stars easy"
"had to buy our own blinds for windows. service requests haven’t been fulfilled since the summer when we moved in. washer and dryer do not work unless you wash 3 shirts and 1 pair of pants at a time, and we have requested that to be fixed to no avail. we get charged for the pool and clubhouse when it’s been under construction for 3 years. rooms are very large. i am aware that different houses in the community pay varying prices in rent to live in what are the same exact type of unit. if you want to live here because of the location and price, consider the downsides and do not be nice to managment when requesting things or it will never get done. absolutely make sure you do a walkthrough at the end of your lease or they will find $1000’s to charge you for. i have enjoyed my year here but i have to go to other peoples houses to wash my clothes and that was the final straw that made me write this review bc honestly i’m tired of paying $600 a month to have a broken and incomplete home lol. EDIT: I just received a $600 bill for damages after i did a personal walkthrough and was told TO MY FACE that I would owe no more than a cleaning fee. On top of this, I paid a security deposit, so either this is an $1,100 cleaning fee per person ($4,400 total) OR i am being lied to. I am POSITIVE I am being lied to. My room was left spotless and the common area was also nearly spotless. DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU ARE NOT FILTHY RICH."
