Sleep Inn Historic 220 Bypass Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185

"I wanted to stay in this hotel for 2 reasons… it was dog friendly and the hotel walls were thick. I read the reviews, and they didnt lie. I couldnt hear anything when i was in my room. Now maybe thats because there were only 15 rooms that were occupied when i was here, but i couldnt hear anyone in the parking lot and my dog wasnt overly distracted by sounds in other rooms or in the hallway. Thats a 100% win. I rented out room #123, it was a dog friendly handicap accessible room sort of. it came with two queen sized beds and a fairly bigger sized walk in shower but not big enough for a shower chair and not wheelchair accessible. The shower water had good pressure but if you turned it all the way to hot, it would burn your skin off. Beds linens were clean and pillows were comfortable. The mini fridge had all working units and kept everything cool and the freezer kept things frozen yay! Hotel pool was a little scary, but its old and dated, so youll have that. The included breakfast is not great.. yogurt, cereal, waffles, juice, eggs, sausage, bread bagels….its food, and its edible, but its not great. The Employees are wonderful, very pleasant and helpful. They werent overly stepford but they were kind. The hotel is conveniently located near multiple places to eat and dine. Cracker barrel and golden corral are within a 2 minute walk of the hotel. Lots of parking and i felt completely safe, as i was traveling alone. I had the AC unit on, and it worked great and there was no weird smell. Overall solid hotel room. Id come here again I am going to note that.. you get what you pay for. But hamptons inn reviews said the walls were thin and you could hear everything. So more money doesnt necessarily mean better. The room was definitely not the cleanest, but it was a good room for someone that needed a place to sleep and was traveling thru with their dog in tow."

"Great breakfast, comfy beds and coffee served all the time. The check-in was quick and the customer service was excellent. Room smelled a little musty, was on the smaller side and the bathroom is showing some wear but everything was very clean. We were on the first floor where they allow pets. They weren’t a bother. The hotel was quiet all night long. Great location, close enough to activities but far enough away to be out of the action. Very well lit parking lot with plenty of spaces."

"Good location with restaurants within walking distance. Only a short drive to the Visitor Center. Room and breakfast was standard for this class of motel. Good security. Unfortunately, the bed was uncomfortably soft."

"Me and my family needed a hotel to stay near bush gardens it was close to everything with my two favorite restaurants near it. I looked at the reviews to base on us going here and it is an awesome hotel! I love all the staff especially the front desk she booked us in and was so kind and friendly. We enjoyed the pool even had it to our selfs a few times. The temperature was perfect and it was nice and clean. They also have free continental breakfast it was like being at a buffet plentiful to choose from also very good. I enjoy the eggs sausage,ham, and waffles with orange juice and delicious coffee. They have all different kinds to choose from. The lady made sure to keep everything full so nothing would run out between Breakfast hours. She was very kind and friendly as well. We will be coming back soon! Thank you for a wonderful experience at your hotel."

"Great location central to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Good price, very clean compared to other hotels and good sized room. It was a very humid week when we were traveling so the ac in the room was slightly musty but not too bad. When we made it colder the mustiness was less so. We stayed at another nearby hotel for a similar rate the week before and that hotel had very musty, humid rooms because of the humidity so we changed to this hotel. So glad we did. The staff at the front and breakfast room are terrific. Very friendly and hard working people. It definitely stood out compared to other hotels. Keep up the great work! Cleaners for the room were great as well. Always had enough clean towels and new soap/shampoo without having to ask. That's less so at other hotels in the area."
