"We stayed there and when we checked out they tried to charge us for smoking in the room but we did not smoke in the room at all. She said that other guest told her that we was smoking but the whole hotel smells like smoke. She told us that she couldn’t take our word for it but she could take the other guest word for it"
"The best thing about this hotel is the wonderful staff. Every single person I interacted with during my stay seemed to enjoy working there and serving guests. The piano in the lobby is a great addition. Room was clean and comfortable."
"Great location. Friendly staff. Loved the LVP flooring in the room vs. the usual carpet. I always look at the bathroom first. It was clean. The tub shined!!! Vent was clean, toilet had no water stains. Great touch with curved shower rod and large shower head. Also nice having a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Good breakfast too. Would definitely recommend."
"I was very disappointed with our stay. This hotel has a problem with mice. I hate that I did not see the previous review regarding this. I notified the front desk, Max who is on the late night shift, after being checked in by Tony. The gaps under the doors of the rooms need to be fixed. We woke up in the middle of the night to find a baby mouse running across the floor eating through a trash bag of left over papa johns pizza and bones from eaten wings. We notified the front desk and I asked to be moved to another room. We were moved to a room with carpet but there is still a large gap under the door that allows rodents, insects to get into the room, the next morning at 6am. After we transferred to the new room, with our bags a baby mouse jumps out of the bag and ran out of the room, under the gap of the room door. Since I did not sleep very well on the first night of the stay I asked the front desk, Max and Shannon to comp me 1 night for the inconvenience, I was told ok. This did not happen, I was not respected as I handled this very professional, rational and calmly. there were no other hotels in close proximity to us as we were there to Busch Gardens Member Appreciation weekend. I will not recommend or stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was cold and had to be warmed up in the microwave both mornings of our stay. The hotel is very outdated and the only portion of the hotel that upholds the Wyndham brand is the lobby area. Everything else, rooms, bathrooms, halls, eating area is Motel 6 at best. Low pressure in the toilet, the tub outdated as well..it doesn't look clean. All the hotel room windows have cloudy (dirt) film on them on the outside, hasn't been cleaned in years. I paid $224 for 2 nights stay and I paid $224 for 2 nights stay and could not sleep well our 1st night and had to put a towel under the door the 2nd night. All of the hotel doors need to have flappers installed, the windows need to be cleaned and the food properly heated for breakfast."
"After a long drive from St. Louis and the intent to go to Busch Gardens for 2 days with my daughter, this place was absolutely perfect! Room was comfortable and at a great price. Exactly what we needed. What added to the experience was the front desk attendant Tony. I cannot speak highly enough about him. That guy was one cool cat! And not just to me, but he was helping another customer in front of us who had issues with his on-line reservation and Tony handled it effortlessly. So after I got checked in, I went back out to get our belongings and the other customer he had just helped was outside gathering his items as well. I heard him speaking with his wife and was going on and on about Tony and how helpful he was and how it was nice to know there were still people like him left in the customer service industry. Those were his words and I echo those sentiments! Every time I had to come downstairs and pass Tony on multiple occasions, I would let Tony know I was STILL hearing good things about him. Somewhere, right now, Tony is getting a compliment from someone he is helping! Well done my friend! You alone would be worth me coming back and choosing this hotel over and over again! Now I know where all the customer service skills have gone in this world.....Tony is hoarding them all to himself! Thank you again sir for adding to an already amazing father / daughter trip!"
