"Don't make an appointment here unless you are willing to wait for hours to be seen. I was in the waiting room with 7 other women. Three had been waiting for 1.5 hours. I'm not sure how much longer they had to wait because I had to leave....before I even got my scheduled mammogram. This apparently is a problem here. I spent 2.5 hours there last year just to get an ultrasound. Also, the technician who saw me that time dismissed my concerns based on my age (which turned out to be quite valid)."

"I had a very bad experience at this location. After completing the online check-in, confirming my appointment, and showing up before my appointment time, I provided my name when asked and was told to take a seat. I sat and worked on a crossword puzzle. After about twenty minutes, someone came out to inform me that due to someone else canceling, the technicians went home and my appointment was canceled. No phone call, no text message, no email. Totally unprofessional!"

"I visited recently for a mammogram and had a very positive experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They listened and didn't talk over me. I waited about 30 minutes, which I thought was perfectly acceptable. The technician was friendly and professional. She made me feel as comfortable as you can during these fairly awkward appointments. I highly recommend this breast center. Job well done!"

"Google directions to 6251 E.VB Blvd took me to the 880 Kempsville Rd building. Signage inside the old building could be helped simply by saying "turn right on Kempsville Rd, and take the next right on Wellsville Drive.". Telling me the new location is a new building is helpful. Telling me it's where the food lion grocery store used to be is no help. It was good that the sign said to look up for the big Sentara sign and then I saw 6251. This did make me 10 or 15 minutes late arriving. Central scheduling could help by making this more clear when you make the appointment. Also, the Kempsville Rd entrance is closed. You have to enter the Virginia Beach boulevard main entrance. And there's a check-in desk for temperatures and they direct you to registration. Then they funnel you elsewhere. My appointment was at 10:00 and they ask for arrival at 9:30. So I arrived at the old building at 9:30. It is truly just around the corner less than a 5-minute drive if you know where you're going. it is directly across the street from the Chevrolet dealership if you are coming directly in from Virginia Beach Boulevard. Staff was extremely gentle, patient, and kind. All went very smoothly once I was in the building."

"The staff is great. This was my first visit. I was not there long. A week later I get a text that my insurance did not cover my mammogram. If that's true. I should have been told. Especially if it's over $200.00. When I arrived I was asked for my insurance info. If any procedure is not covered. I should have been told this. No one likes suprise bills. Would have been 5 stars if not for this. I feel tricked. This was a first."
