"We stayed at the Hyatt Place in Blacksburg on 1/13-1/14 for a Virginia Tech basketball game. We have stayed at different hotels and air BNB in the area. This hotel is far superior than all of them. It was a beautiful, clean, and even dog friendly (we brought our mini bernedoodle). The complimentary breakfast was wonderful! Our daughter has a GLUTEN and DAIRY allergy and it is difficult to navigate while traveling. However, they had plenty of options for her. It is definitely worth the additional cost to stay here compared to other options in the area. We will definitely be back in the future."

"Exceeded expectations! The location is great - right by the campus; and restaurants & Kroger within walking distance. Parking lot & entrance were well-lit and felt safe. The staff was genuinely nice. Inside, everything was clean and updated. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely designed. The shower had good water pressure. The breakfast was impressive - something for everyone and attention to details like to-go containers, variety of milks, juices, teas, etc. Best of all, the rate was in our budget so we will absolutely plan to stop here next time we’re in town."

"Service was kind and quick. The Hyatt app key did not work, but that has been a common trend with the Hyatt app recently at Hyatt Place locations. The room was large and nice, the roll in shower bathroom worked well for my disabled mother."

"Checked in and staff was very kind. Beds were clean and comfortable. Very good placement to visit Tech. LOVED the little nooks they have to relax and study at. Breakfast was good. Selection of waffles, cereal, sausage, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Bagels, bread, and cereal as well. They offered alternative milks as well. The only negative thing is they do allow pets, which is okay. But did wake up to a dog barking left alone."

"Best hotel we've stayed in on a cross country trip. Large clean rooms. Big bathroom. Super comfy beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I think the hotel was new, if not it seemed so. Laundry was right around the corner from our room - so really convenient and fast (dryer only took 25 mins to dry a whole load!) Convenient parking and very close to campus and town for eats."
