"No heat, no customer service When we finally got a code that worked, we got into the Bonnie and Clyde room on the first floor. What we found was a room with no heat. After contacting the people from the Inn several times, they contacted their “local person” who took 45 minutes to get there. She had no idea how to fix the heat! I called again and I suggested we move to a different room. After a while we were given a room upstairs and we had to take all of our stuff upstairs. The last person I spoke to said she would contact her supervisor about a refund. After we were home a few days, I contacted them again and was told I would get a text with the refund. After about 2 hours I called again. He checked the notes and said we could not get a refund because we left garbage! This place should not be called an Inn as there isn’t anyone running the place. The people who answer the phones are part of a group that ‘run’. Many other places and were not anywhere near Luray."
"Never again! When we arrived we realized our room had no heat. After making phone calls we found a person that was working that told us the heaters are broke and there’s a space heater and extra blank. Two very small space heaters, one didnt work and one thin blanket was what we found. ( if we wanted to stay in the cold weather I would of stayed in a campground). She did go purchase 2 more space heaters. We were just getting ready for bed when the breakers were kicked. So now we’re left in the dark with no heat. I’m a diabetic and my husband is on blood thinners, neither one of us tolerate the cold very well. So you have heat but no tv and outlets or you have heat and 1 light. So after phone calls and the lady telling me to check the breakers lol ( as if we know where there located) and waiting we were moved to an “upgraded” room at 9 pm lol it’s the only room they had available with heat. Fine at this point we were exhausted . The so called upgraded room had 2 queen beds and a tub. Really for us was not an upgrade, it was upstairs (which is why we booked the room we did , downstairs) 2 beds did us no good and I could careless about a tub. But they reminded us multiple times that they upgraded our room for 2 nights. The next evening another phone call because we can’t get in our room only to find out we had to move the next morning back to the room with no heat. Absolutely not the temperature at night was 42. We didn’t pay to sleep with no heat. All we were offered was a 50% discount or a refund for the night but the problem was there was no available places anywhere in Luray. After both our evenings being completely ruined by this place we had no choice but to leave and stayed in a very warm hotel in Front Rural. I want a full refund. This could of been avoided had they just called prior to our arrival and explained the situation. I’m sure if you have no problems your stay might be ok but if there becomes a problem GOOD LUCK"
"I really loved staying at this place! Each room has its own cool theme, and the Bonnie and Clyde room was my personal favorite. It's super convenient because you can walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants in just about 10 minutes. Seeing this old B&B being fixed up and coming back to life was really cool."
"I stayed in the Eden Suite on August 26. The room was a bit dirty and the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms was dripping so much, it soaked the entire floor and kept us up for most of the night (sounded like a dripping faucet that wouldn’t turn off). After not sleeping well, we were looking forward to some breakfast since the booking site advertised the location as a bed and breakfast, but unfortunately, there wasn’t much to offer. A toaster but no bread or anything to toast. A microwave but nothing to microwave. Utensils, but nothing to eat. In general, we thought this place had great potential but was way overpriced for the value we received. It’s very charming and has been redone beautifully but needs a little extra TLC and attention to detail, particularly for the price. Attaching photos of the dirty nightstands in our room + the wet floor from the AC. Additionally, I shared this feedback directly before reviewing but never received a reply."
"I stayed at the Legacy Inn and had the best time! The room was beautiful with everything we needed - having a coffeemaker right next to the bed was perfect for slow mornings enjoying the view of the river. Staff was attentive and great! There were bikes for our use which was a wonderful way to see the area, especially with the greenway being right in the backyard of the inn."
