I learned a lot and really enjoyed how the instructors took their time to work with each person in the class individually even though we were a larger group. "I had an awesome basics of pistol shooting class where I felt very welcomed and safe as a black trans person in a gun class. These environments are often not for us, but Clara is an amazing instructor who made it clear from the get-go her intentions of creating an inclusive space and why she does these classes. I had a lot of fun and at no moment felt judged or anxious about being a new shooter (I had never even been near a gun before this clas)—by the end of the 2 day class I was very confident in my abilities, and surprised to discover that I’m a good shot.
