"Nice clean pool. Park has a lot of things to do in it."
"There is an outdoor swimming pool. A covered area with picnic tables and restroom access too. It is conveniently located within walking proximity to the Downtown Mall."
"Washington Park is a nice place to shoot hoops, swim (the pool is only open in the summer) play softball or baseball. Take your children out to use the playground equipment or toss a Frisbee. The city of Charlottesvilles parks and recreation department also conducts yoga classes at the park from time to time. Check the Charlottesville Parks and Recreation department website for the schedule. There are public restrooms in the pavilion, and picnic tables spread out in the park."
"My 20-month-old daughter LOVED this park. It's across the street from an amazing coffee shop (Shenandoah Joe) and has several main areas- a playground, a basketball court, a swing set area, and a pool. The playground is always open and it's built for slightly older kids. However, the bright blue and yellows allured our 20-month-old there and she loved it. She was able to climb to the second level and go down the slides and steer the toy wheel. The third level requires climbing a ladder, but if you can get your kid to go up, it's worth it. They have two larger slides that adults would enjoy too!"
"I love this pool! It never gets really busy and you can always find a shady place to sleep. My children prefer the other pool in town because there are lots of things to do, but if you are looking for nice place to swim that's not crowded this is the place to go."
