"Absolute bottom tier movie theater. I broke a 18 year vow I had made to never visit this theater because some friends wanted to see a movie that was only playing here. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Never visit this theater under any circumstance. The only scenario it might make sense to visit would be if you were super nostalgic for what the movie going experience was like in the 90s. Because that’s when this place was built and they haven’t done a thing to improve the theater since. Whoever owns this theater should be ashamed of themselves. The people of Chesapeake deserve better than this. I’ll start at the concession stand where a small popcorn is $9.10 and a medium drink was $7.69. I recently visited San Francisco and their concession prices weren’t as high. Absolute insanity. Upon walking into the theater you’re hit with a musty odor that stays with you through the movie. The seats are the original uncomfortable seats straight from the 90s. It was no fun being reintroduced to these torture devices after becoming used to the comfortable seats that an actual modern movie theater would provide. The screen was tiny. The projection slightly blurred and faint. The sound was fine. In summary let me reiterate that nobody should visit this theater under any circumstance. They are a disgrace to our community and I was foolish for giving them a chance after 18 years of shunning. It’s a mistake I will never repeat."
"Was just here ordered popcorn 2 hot dogs and ordered a drink a little late but before the transaction completly finished, the cashier didn't cancel the transaction but was gonna charge me another transaction to get the drink and I asked if I could get it on the combo to save money she said it was to late and i asked if we could refund it and rering it, she said she didn't know how to do that and would have to get someone but since our movie was running late I didn't worry about it. My hot dogs she said she had some ready but I had to wait about 5 min for her to get them, when I looked back where she was I saw she was heating it up in the microwave i said I didn't want microwaved hot dogs and she and the guy with her said she was just heating up the bun. She took the hot dog and bun out of the microwave together, so lying to customers too. My girl was hungry so i took them but the buns got hard by the time the previews were done. This will be the last time I go here."
"This chain has SHRUNK the size of a small popcorn but kept the price high. Did they think we would not notice? Shame on you for gouging the consumers! Then they took an extra 1000 credits from my rewards. I had to go to three people to get them restored. The only reason I did not lower the rate is the movie theatres themselves are usually clean and the people nice."
"The theater auditorium door was closed, and the room was dark with nothing on the screen despite our being there 20 minutes before showtime. The preshow finally came on, which helped, but then it ran extra long and more than 30 minutes past the time the movie was supposed to start. The popcorn was so salty that it was inedible. The seats were old-fashioned stadium seating that is very close together."
"I love spending close to $100 for my daughter and I to see the Eras Tour Movie and get cups and popcorn buckets and sit in a mostly empty theater on the original opening night only to be told "we can only give out so many per day" about the free posters that all the movie theaters are getting. Otherwise, the theater is okay and most of the people are nice but I don't think I will come back."
