"This was the STRANGEST HAIR SALON EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. My hair is short. I don't like to have it shampooed at the salon. Even less so because this particular shop was cold from them having the door open when I walked in. In my decades of not getting my hair washed before having it cut, because my cuts are so simple, this particular stylist kept complaining that it was going to be hard for her to cut my hair because of the hairspray in it. She said my hair was "too slippery." But she wanted to wash it and put a conditioner in it which would have made it even more slippery. I asked her how much experience she had as we were talking about what I wanted, and three times she refused to tell me. I pushed because at this point I was uncomfortable. In the end, I suggested that she not cut my hair because she was complaining that it was slippery. Out of the countless haircuts I've had in many years in the similar situation with my hair dry, she's the first person who complained that I didn't want it shampooed. My hair is clean, as I wash it every day. What is the reason she kept complaining that my hair was slippery because of the spray? I asked her if someone else there could cut my hair and both of the other stylists refused. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. I understand why they have 3.9 stars at the time of my review. Buyer beware. Nothing was normal with this experience. I left with wet, UNCUT hair. Good grief."

"This was our first time here. My husband came in for a hair cut. The hairdresser asks him what shampoo he uses. He responded “Whatever my wife buys. I’m not sure.” The stylist then tells him that he’s going bald in a specific area (not true) and needs to use Nioxin shampoo. Which of course she then tries to sell to him upon check out. I came in the salon at the end of his haircut and ask for a specific product. They don’t carry the product but they try to recommend a bunch of other products and say each one is “very popular. My husband has a full head of head and doesn’t need special shampoo for men who are balding. The staff seems very eager to sell products, even if they aren’t the right fit. The hair cut my husband got was okay."

"Thuy is the hairdresser who cut my hair and did a great job. She's been doing it for 20 years or more and is very nice and knows how to cut and style. This place is quiet and not too busy. You can get in for a haircut pretty quickly."

For reference I am mixed and she knew how to handle my hair. I recently returned after a year hiatus and a botched self-dye job and she was able to fix it up. She's super kind and efficient, and I wouldn't want my hair done by anyone else!"
