"I would give a 0 star rating if I could. I have been shopping at this location for over 20 years and in all that time I have never had such horrible service. Two employees working and my son and I were the only customers. No one greeted us and the girl was no real help at all. After finally getting her to size my son, she told me they didn't have his size in stocks, couldn't get them from the warehouse, and made no attempt to get them from another location. I work retail and customer service is supposed to be #1 . Seems like someone forgot to train these people in that"

"Went to Chesapeake location last night. Was greeted by a young lady who was on her way out. We were left with a heavy set man who clearly didn’t want us there. He spent most of his time leaning over a chair and acting disgruntled. Every time we touched a shoe he would mumble and come behind us and passive aggressively pick up the shoe and slam it down. He mumbled that we kept moving the shoes. These shoes cost hundreds of dollars, picking them up for a closer look should be normal. We watched another person come in for shoes they ordered online and were treated so rude. I asked questions and he was very snarky and condescending. I won’t come back to this location again. It was a turn off. My husband was prepared to spend hundreds on two pair of shoes but we left because of this man and how we were treated. He clearly didn’t want to do, nor did he like his job."

"I walked in and was greeted right away. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She sized my feet and helped me with a choice in orthotics. Which have made a world of difference. She informed me of repair services and maintenance without being asked to. An absolute great experience!"

"Dear red wing I'm very disappointed with the customer service yal have working in the store in Chesapeake store I came in 03/03/2023 to pick up my new boots purchased on 02/26/2023 had the tuff toe put on. Very nice boots..I have 4 pair of the same boots now close to $2000 in boots. Tryed to drop off my 3 oldest one in service to get oiled for good conditioning .. but sadly was told by the lady working (said her name was Elfrief )that I was going to have take them back home to clean and bring them back because they were not clean enough for her to oil... I live about 45mins from your store.. I own and run my own company and don't have time to waste.. p.s I brought an employee of mine with me to buy some boots to he was very discouraged when he heard her say this. He did not purchase boot today.. my boots are clean no mud, the leather is very dry and needs oil bad.. the saying conditioning for life is b.s. if you refuse to work on the working mans boots that support red wing shoes.."
