"If you've never been to a Gabes store, you gotta go. You may have to take some time to look for things that you may want/like. I have found dresses, pants, coats, bathing suits etc. All high-end for pennies. I found a $5000 Italian silk dress for $20 once. HH for $50, real leather jackets for $40. And shoes, so many pairs over the years."

"Bad experience with a cashier who seemed annoyed because I didn’t want her to ring an item twice because one item didn’t have a label. She clearly had an attitude and I ended up not getting that item because how am I supposed to know if the item without the label was cheaper than what she wanted to ring up. However what bother me was her telling her co worker that she wanted to know the price of the item without the label even though I didn’t want it anymore as if she was trying to prove a point. We all have bad days but the attitude was not necessary."

"I used to LOVE this store. Hate the new layout. It’s so hard to find anything in the clothes dept. Toddlers mixed with Little Boys and Big boys. Same in the women’s dept.Most of the racks aren’t labeled by size and the hangars aren’t sized anymore either. So you have to go through a rack looking at each garment to find the size. What a mess. It’s definitely affected my desire to shop there. Used to go much more often, stay longer and shop more. Now, I have to decide if I have enough energy to deal with the mess."

"Finally stopped in Gabe's. It's like a cross between TJM and a thrift store. I say this because like TJM they have lots of variety, all new, but it is a hot mess in there. The stuff is strewn all about. So if you like digging in, at 1 off clothing, or sorting through lots of stuff unorganized on shelves, this is your place. If not, then stick to TJM. But I did find a few items in my trip."
