Papo’s Colombian Restaurant

"I recently visited Papo's with my beautiful Latina girlfriend because she kept raving about this place. The food was so good that I almost forgot to compliment our fantastic waitress, Erica, who took care of us throughout the meal. Erica was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service."

"I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with this restaurant. My initial visit was about a year and a half ago or so. The service experienced then was good and the food was good as well. HOWEVER, I just revisited recently, and the service was awful. Only one waitress was working. When asked how long the food would take to be ready, she simply said that she didn't know. My companion and I were in a rush, so I explained that to her and asked once again how long the food would take to be ready, only to get the same "I am not sure answer". Even though I was beyond frustrated, we decided to stay as we really wanted to eat Colombian food, and I have told good things about this restaurant to my companion. Mind you, it was just the two of us and another table with 3 people in the entire restaurant. The rest of the restaurant was completely empty. There were quite a few items from the menu that we wanted to eat that she said that they were out of. NOT a good look nor a good experience, especially when I talked positively to my companion about this place, only to turn into such a massive disappointment. When we were almost done with our food, she proceeded to rudely drop the bill in the table without even having the common decency to ask if we were going to have desert or if we wanted to order anything else. When paying the bill, the machine is defaulted to add a 20% gratuity, which is preposterous. There is an option to change that and just input whatever amount one wants to leave, but the mere fact that they have it set up to automatically leave that tip percentage regardless of how unsatisfactory the experience was is absolutely absurd. I'm certainly not going back. It's a shame as I had high hopes that this could turn out to be a good spot for Colombian food, but I was sorely mistaken. I will instead go to Rosa Colombian restaurant next time we visit the area."
