"EDIT: My review was 5 stars under the old owners. However, the disrespect I just got on the phone made me change it to 1 star. I made an online appointment for today a month ago. Today, they said it was in office. I asked to have it rescheduled as the type of appointment that I requested to begin with (online.) Brenda kept insisting I make it in office. I live an hour away. It only has to be in office once a year, and I do the first appointment of the year in office. I told Brenda this multiple times, and she kept talking in circles trying to get me to do things HER way. Then she hung up on me for being upset that she refused to listen to my needs. The way that the Healthcare system treats us is heinous. Brenda is who people are talking about when they say that the mean girls from high school are the ones who now work in healthcare. If nothing else, at least this review section is validating since a lot of people seem to have been met with disrespect at this office. But like every healthcare office full of mean girls, I'm sure Compassion Mental Health will keep insisting it's not them, rather it's the rest of the world that's wrong. I miss Dr. Almanzar."
"I got stuck with Tammy dawson and I missed an appointment and she didn't prescribed me my medicine nor was she adjusting them properly, she wanted to take my meds at every appointment and Create her own regimen that never worked glad I was discharged at this point. She did nothing helpful for me what so ever. She doesn't genuinely care about any of her patients. I left every appointment feeling unheard and a lab rat. Discharging me was a personal issue bc I had to call after I left once and tell them I was unhappy with my doctor. I see I not the only one who felt this way"
"This place is ridiculous. They dropped my wife after she HAD to cancel her appointment because her job would not let her leave. She called them and the office managers know her. Now she cannot get her medicine or find a doctor. How do you People live with yourselves?? She was a patient for 4 years. She did cancel 4 times over 4 years. They were scattered and it was when they were running with 1 person at her work. She literally could not leave. She begged compassion to keep her because it was out of her control. The place is over an hour away as well, so it’s not like she could even make a late appointment. She is NOW able to do virtual appointments, and they drop her?????"
"I missed one appointment so I was released as a patient and basically told good luck and to cold turkey my meds since it takes months to get in as a new patient anywhere post-covid. Which is crazy to me considering planning and making/keeping appointments and healthy time management are common things people with mental illness struggle with. But I guess I should've been magically cured, huh? What really happened was the psychiatrist from Compassion, Tammy Dawson, has a side gig at a therapy office. Literally every appointment I had with her she tried to push it on me. I have like a dozen business cards for the place since she gave me one every appointment. Then she stopped adjusting my meds when I hadn't been to therapy because my life is absolute chaos tight now and I don't have that kinda extra time laying around. She has left me for months now at below therapeutic doses for ALL my meds because of this. I didn't come to a psychiatrist for them to try to force their other practice on me. Sorry but that's trash. I came here for help and got Tammy Dawson instead. What a disgrace. Sadly everyone else who works there, including the other doctor, have all been nothing but helpful and kind; but i would never recommend this place to anyone. Dawson is a horrendous doctor who's grip on psychiatry is tenuous at best, and whos ulterior interests outweigh the good of the patient. Sorry not sorry. 0/10."
"This place is terrible. You don’t actually see a doctor, you see a nurse who knows absolutely nothing about mental health. Her name is Tammy Dawson and she is ineffective at offering any type of treatment. Every time I went in, she remembered nothing and it was like meeting her for the first time over and over. She prescribed medication at such a low dose it was of no help at all. All of this came after Dr. Almanzar abruptly left out of nowhere and in the middle of patient treatment plans. Just disappeared. You then get informed Tammy Dawson is taking over and like I said, she is useless. She is a nurse and I pay to see a Psychiatrist. The only plus I can give is that the girls in the front office that schedule and take care of questions and a myriad of other things, are fantastic and awesome to deal with. Thank god this place is closing. Good riddance!"
