Haverford Court Apartments

"Best apartment community I've ever lived in! Apts are spacious and nice (they vary in updated modifications) and amenities are modern and well maintained. Located in a quiet oasis of Overbook Park, right next door to a Free Library of Philadelphia branch, with three SEPTA bus routes (31, 103, 106) steps from the doors and a main SEPTA Transportation Station (69th Street Terminal) located a very short drive/bus ride (maybe 5 minutes) away. Shopping for just about all your needs is within walking distance. Best thing about living here is the community offerings/interactions. 95% of the folks who live and/or work here are super friendly and helpful. The property managers keep tenants aware of community events and are actively involved in partnership with officials from the local police district. Community events are regularly arranged for HC tenants (Movie Nights with refreshments, Pool Parties, Holiday events, Community Activisim/Improvement events, spontaneous treats when you leave and arrive at the property, etc). Staff and residents have checked on me on occasion to ensure my safety and well-being just because. I've been here almost 9 years and would be happy to be a forever renter at my middle age, but the annual rent increases (about 5 or 6%) may very well force me into home ownership (I'm employed as a public servant of Philadelphia and don't get a raise in pay every year). I get it's a business, but they also refer to owner/tenant partnership as "the Lindy Family." Rent increases over $40/$50 every year in this economy can be a lot for families, when most of us have had to strategically plan every single purchase and are still recovering from COVID-19, and EVERYthing is going up. Lindy was, by my understanding, good to those who needed help during COVID and I commend them for that. Still, in all, I'll stay until homeownership is unavoidably more financially efficient. Lindy worked with me and gave me a home about 25 years ago when I was rebuilding my life from ground zero after divorce. I'll always be grateful for that and highly recommend renting at their properties. Interestingly, the last place I lived was/is advertised as a luxury building on City Avenue. Amenities were better and rent was cheaper, but it had less of a "family" feel. I still rate Lindy over them."

"I use to leave there. I give this place a bad rating. Why Rent price goes up to high longer u still. Building has mice's & roaches. A lot of weed smoke in the hallway at night. People leaving the door open & fire escape left open. For people to come in undetected. My vehicle was stolen also no security what so ever. Poor Gym equipment don't be fooled only one treadmill work.Loud neighbors all nite long up stairs. Banging & stomping can't sleep sum nite."

"We moved to Haverford Court in August and the life here was amazing! Everyone from the leasing office and maintenance office are super helpful and caring. We truly feel like being part of a family here, especially those sweet events like dog days in summer and special treats at Halloween! Special shoutout to Sharon for helping with so many requests and advocating the best for us and everyone on the maintenance team to respond to requests on time. We have not ever had such a joyful experience with tenants and highly recommend Haverford Court to anyone who wants to find a place to stay at Philly!"

"Haverford Court Apts are nice luxuary apts. The location is very convenient. There are two convenient bus stops, one in front of the door and another steps away from the other door. The apartments are lavish with spacoius rooms closet space, (walk ins) 1 or 2.5 bath, each room well lit, modern kitchen and secure entries. This property is close to many stores, convenient stores, supermarket, clothing stores various eateries, day cares, high school, all within walkin distance (if a snow storm should occur). Central air, modern workout facilities and laundry units on premises. There is also a laundromat within walking distance. A playground and track (walking distance) from this complex. Neighbors are friendly and courteous. Management and Maintenance are always available and prompt to assist with any problems that arise. There was a Community room for personal affairs, but due to the pandemic, unfortunately it had to close, hope it becomes available again. Extra storage space is also available on the premises if needed (optional). The Management team also comes up with creative tenet appreciaton events, with games food & beverages throughout the year. Also a secure package room for deliveries! Lastly there is a well lit private parking lot for tenants. Beautiful place to reside."
