"So far.. 2 thumbs up! Modern interiors! Building exteriors & surrounding landscapes on point, clean and manicured 24/7! It’s the image.. and that’s what I want! Last thing, the location.. perfect.. doesn’t matter if you need to go N,S,E or W or anywhere in between..access to major roads is a breeze!"
"Where do I start? The BLATANT discrimination against black people OR the discrimination against WOMEN! The office staff is beyond incompetent, and you can best believe, every action they've taken has been reported to my attorney and the media. Do NOT move here! Do NOT waste your time!! Do NOT!!! If you are a woman...a black educated, working woman, THIS is not the place for YOU!!!! If i could give 0 stars I would!! Take the time to thoroughly REVIEW every review. There is a REASON why their tenants do NOT look like YOU!!!"
"UPDATED REVIEW! I’m not bias as you can see I had a pleasant living experience here HOWEVER my move out with them has been a nightmare!!!!! I’m tired of going back and forth with them! THESE PPL ARE SCAMMERS!!! THEY WILL NICKLE AND DIME YOU!! I am leaving pictures of how I left my apartment and I still did not receive my full security deposit back. They will charge you for natural wear and tear! Please be sure NOT to mount TVs or put any nails in a wall. They will charge you for that. They also do not replace carpets after every tenant but will charge for $500.00 to replace a an old carpet from natural wear and tear from MULTIPLE TENANTS! Just leave your apartment dirty because they will find something to get more money out of you!! If anyone ever takes legal action against TORNETTA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME!! I don’t have it in me!! I broke my lease 3 month early. I was charged 7k to do so they made no exceptions that was paid! Then I paid full rent for my last month when I wanted to leave mid month but they won’t let you. Which was 1900.00! Then decided to keep 1000.00 of my security deposit for non valid reasons! If you’re doing the math just to move they made 10k off of me. I never lived anywhere and not received my security deposit back I take care of my spaces!! These people are evil and I really hope they stop getting away with this and meet the write one. As a business owner and regular tenant I will never lease anything EVER under TORNETTA!!! THIS IS THE WORSE TIME TO MOVE IN BECAUSE THEY ARE BUILDING ADDITIONAL PROPERTY AND WILL USE YOUR MONEY TO FUND IT! YOUVE BEEN WARNED! Overall, I enjoyed my time at Plymouth Towne apartments. My review is regarding the new premium apartment homes. First apartment home where I never seen one bug. I really really loved that! Office staff was super nice but don’t get nice twisted as accommodating. They are very business minded as well. A few things that were pain points. - you get a late fee if you don’t pay on the first which is about $100 (must apartments have grace periods) - I hate that the newer apartment units are not sound proof at all. I could hear the traffic constantly driving by all night as well as the other tenants loud cars and the trash trucks that decide to come at 6/7 in the morning. I don’t think they took into consideration when building these units so close to the main road. I could literally hear everything outside. This is the main reason I am only giving 4 stars."
"I really wish I could say that my 3 years at this complex was all positive. While the property and premiere apartment are well maintained, management at this place is GOD AWFUL! Should I start with my first year there? My roommate and I had a homeless man living in his car across from our front door for days. When we notified the office and they didn't do anything about it. We had to recall them and complain until they took action. Within the same month, my roommate and I were blamed for smoking weed simply because a miserable neighbor accused us of it. It was a completely false accusation, but the manager at the office the time INSISTED that we were the cause of the weed smell. We also got in trouble for having a visiting dog on the property, meanwhile dogs are on the property and going to the bathroom ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY. At the time, my roommate and I were living in a double standard simply because of our age (we were 24/25). If you want to have a cat in your apartment, I hope you're prepared to pay a FULL MONTH'S rent for it, on top of a monthly pet fee. A cat deposit is equal to one month's rent which is outrageous for those who pay more for their unit (1 bedroom vs. 2 bedroom). Most places only require a couple hundred dollars for a pet deposit...but nope. I paid almost $2000 for my cat to live with us. Come time I wanted to put a new roommate on the lease, getting this information was like pulling teeth. I was playing phone tag with the leasing agent for weeks. She never got back to me and I had to be the one to pry information out of her, even when she said she'd return my call. I even had to cal myself to find out that my new roommate had gotten approved. In the 3 years I lived there, I met 4 different leasing agents. When it came time to decide if I would renew my lease my last year, I called the office and talked to Katrina (is that her name? eh she's probably gone by now anyway) and she was the RUDEST, most condescending woman I had ever talked to. Somehow she was supposed to be the bright and shiny poster child of the apartments? I asked simple questions and shared my concerns about the renewal process, and she spoke down to my like I was child. She didn't hear me out nor share empathy for my concerns. Isn't the customer always right? She was rude and quite frankly, talked to me in an extremely unprofessional and unkind way. We also didn't get a clear cut answer about the potential of renting month to month. They said the price would vary depending on the situation, and if we broke our lease, the price would also vary. It was shady and a money grab on their part. On top of all of this, Plymouthowne Apartments tried to charge me with a $100+ late fee since my rent was "late" my last month living there. Mind you, I mailed my rent check in 4 or 5 days before it was due but they didn't receive in the mail until the 3rd. There was no grace period and no understanding that I DON'T CONTROL THE MAIL. Finally, there are things people need to know before moving into this complex. It is on a main road, so you can hear everything all hours of the day. If you have kids, they are not allowed to play outside or really even walk outside by themselves. You can't have anything on the sidewalks (including chairs/etc.) and there is no grace period for paying rent late. Maintenance does not always get back to you in a timely manner and the staff in the office are a revolving door. I emailed Tara, a leasing consultant off campus to complain about an onside Katrina, and she never got back to me. When my roommate and I emailed them to address the homeless man, dog and weed situation years ago, they also never got back to us. Plymouthtowne Apartments do not actually care about their clients. It's quite a shame, because they had the potential to be great. You also get NOTHING for your buck (no gym, no pool, no shared community spaces like grills). It's just the apartment. For how expensive their rent is, you'd think they would give you a little something else. I am SO glad to be gone."
"We've lived here for 18 months and can't say enough about how kind and helpful the staff in the office has been. Even the Manager Kim went out of her way to accommodate us when needed. The maintenance has been great and the grounds are kept beautifully. It's very quiet here and parking is at our front door. They don't want bikes, playing ball or activities like that on the grounds and want you to use a public park for that, so if you have kids, keep that in mind. We have access to very clean laundry facilities just a few doors down. They even provide you an extra storage space for just $20 a month, which has been really awesome. So far, I highly recommend this community. We looked at many before choosing this one and this was a great decision!"
