Reviews of Five 10 Flats
"Calling this place "luxury" is very misleading. Their units might look like nice on their website, but the truth is the build quality is very cheap. The apartments are equipped with very basic Whirlpool appliances. The sounds my dryer made felt as though the machine might rattle itself loose into a million pieces at any moment. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. I hear everything my next door neighbor says, and when my upstairs neighbor walks, the walls and ceiling by the front door literally tremble. Construction was so rushed, they did not even caulk the gaps along the inside of the shower, so it builds tons of disgusting, impossible-to-clean mold. The Nest central heat/ac system was defective in our unit, so it was blasting and overheating the place to approx 15 degrees over what we had set it too. The worst part is the sound of a massive garbage truck banging metal trash containers around right outside your window every morning at 6:30am sharp. Say goodbye to undisturbed sleep. One pro for this place: management replies promptly to emails and maintenance requests, and the super is very helpful and nice."
"Went to visit a friend at the building, there’s only one parking lot available to the public( non tenants , and restaurant goers) that was full. So I figured with an empty parking lot for there tenants and since I was visiting a friend I’d be able to park for a little bit. Nope got my car put up on a tow and had to pay 200 dollars. Must need to get it approved be for you have friends over who will be parking. Plus my friend has lived in the building for over a year and has yet to receive there own parking pass… manager of this building is shady"
"Apparently the owner takes advantage of people during musikfest and charges non-residents to use the parking lot. If you come home and all the spots are filled you aren't guaranteed parking unless you pay extra monthly to use to premium lot on top of an already overpriced rent. Also, I have met several other residents who have had their cars towed, and have met at least FOUR other residents that have each had their cars keyed!"
"Absolutely love living here! The amenities, management, rooftop lounge, and location make living in the heart beat of the city an unbelievable experience. As a resident who pays for permit parking in the lot, we appreciate the follow through of the towing companies to remove cars from clearly marked private spaces and ensure spots are available for those who pay. Also, pet-friendly!!"
"Stopped over on Sunday afternoon to visit one of the tenants. We only planned to stay for an hour or so, the back parking lot was mostly empty, we parked there. Came out to find our car towed, it cost $300 to recover it. Thought it wouldn't be a problem on a Sunday afternoon, I was wrong. All the places to park around this place are either metered or threaten towing to non-residents. These are not empty threats. For them to take my car as quickly as they did on a quiet Sunday shows that they are opportunistic and will show you no mercy. Be forewarned. I am not going back there. Don't like to hang around a place where they are so clearly out to get you."
