"This is the worst place I have ever lived!!!! If you are planning to move in please don't for your own sake. The property manager is great at putting on a show for potential renters but once you sign the lease you begin living a nightmare. We have so many issues with our property and have asked for maintenance on so many occasions which never got resolved. There is a major roach problem at this property which the property manager has turned a blind eye to. There is also a mold problem. The washer and dryer have damaged all of my clothing and we have leaking toilets and ceilings. All of the tiles fell off the shower and we had to wait a month for someone to fix them. We ended up withholding the rent to hopefully have someone come out to fix our concerns but sure enough she found the time to write up that eviction letter and send us to court. There was no help because it seems like the judge and her know each other on a more personal level so we were not even allowed to voice our concerns. we asked to break the lease so we can just move on but we aren't allowed to break it either. This has been our nightmare for the last two years. Is that really where you want to live? the only people giving a 5 star review never lived in this hell. In addition i want to add they will upcharge your rent and add extra fees that were not on your original lease."
"Updated 2022 for clarity: I lived at Berkshire Gardens (managed by Metropolitan Management Group) from 2019 - 2021 and I cannot recommend it to anyone. If you want to be neglected, ignored and charged for cleaning your apartment even when you leave it spotless, come on in! There was little to effort to communicate with me as a paying tenant. I had several major maintenance issues that came up during my time at Berkshire Gardens and they were never resolved in a timely fashion. I had a mouse infestation in my apartment caused by the squalid living of others and it took them 1 YEAR AND 59 DAYS to fix the holes where the mice were coming in. During that time, managers did not respond to my requests for maintenance work and I was always told that they were working on more pressing issues in other apartments. If mice in your apartment isn't a pressing issue...I'm not really sure what is. Therefore, even though my situation was bad, it sounds like a lot of other apartments here were much worse. I cannot stress this enough. Do not rent here. They will take all of your security deposit even if you leave your apartment spotless. I was told by the apartment manager that they will charge you $10 to remove a roll of toilet paper from your apartment when you leave. That's exactly what you can expect from them. My two years was a nightmare and there are so many better places to rent. [Edit from 2022] The positive reviews are mostly from people after living there for a month or two, not long term residents. I have attached photos of the mice found in my apartment as well as the overflowing garbage cans that were constantly an issue and a broken step that was located in the stairwell of the apartment building. Enjoy!"
"Michelle was wonderful. She was patient and took us around to multiple apartments. She was honest and genuinely excited for us to move in. She is very knowledgeable about the apartments and honest. The apartments are clean, well maintained, and secure. The are truly lovely. My daughter was excited to fill out the application immediately, and we hope to get approved. Thank you."
"I currently live here while the size of apartment is ok and neighbors are nice for the most part, management doesn't seem to care about their investment the stairwells are hardly ever cleaned moved in in July and there's plaster repairs in stairwells that have been in same condition since I've moved here. Management send email about water consumption but it takes over 3 minutes for hot water to reach your showerhead and then only lasts for about 5 minutes and water pressure is Dismal. My apartment was turned over to us without being properly prepped bedroom door was split and carpets were never cleaned.if I didn't have a lease I'd probably be looking to move."
"Just recently moved in. The property manager Matt is great! He made moving an easy transition! As far as the maintenance staff. We had a leak in one of our closets, once reported it was fixed within 24 hours. Awesome experience so far! Neighbors are quiet and respectful as well."
