"Initially, I was impressed by how responsive and professional 2121 Columbia Pike seemed. Their promptness during the application process led me to believe I was making the right choice. However, it quickly felt as though their main interest was merely to collect the application fee. Despite having an excellent credit score and an income of 2.5-3x the unit’s monthly rent, my application was unexpectedly rejected without any clear reason. I’ve never had such an unsettling experience with other leasing companies. Upon further research, I stumbled upon numerous Yelp reviews pointing out issues of mice infestation and pervasive cigarette smoke in the building. In hindsight, I’m relieved the situation unfolded as it did, potentially saving me from a regrettable living situation. Be cautious and do your due diligence before considering this apartment community."

"FRUSTRATING! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Office Hours are 10am-4pm...good luck getting ahold of anyone outside of that time. The after-hours answering service is worthless as well, they cannot assist with resolving matters. They are only capable of 'sending requests' to the building employees...but no one will see them or respond until the following business day at the earliest because there are no employees in the building after hours. During the last year, at least one elevator (only 2 for the entire community) was out of service on a weekly basis. Only pros to living here are the geographic location and no pet policy...which some residents apparently do not comply with considering the fact that management has had to send a memo to all residents about this on multiple occasions. In addition to this, there is no central air in this community. You are at the mercy of when building management decides to switch from Heating to Air Conditioning. That said, a pipe within the unit above my apartment broke in November 2022 and my apartment was FLOODED, photos attached. The manager at the time, Brenda, called to notify me there was a leak and that "everything was okay and they would handle it." I was out of town and unable to inspect the damage at that time so Brenda promised she would send me pictures. This NEVER happened so I decided to cut my trip short to come home and inspect the damage. To say I was appalled at the condition of my apartment would be an understatement!! The ceiling and carpet were both ripped out and my furniture was soaked! My items were still sitting in water when I returned home. Brenda never called or responded. After hours answering service couldn't help. The next day, after visiting the sister building at 2200 Columbia Pike and finally getting ahold of the Community Director, Daniel, the maintenance team addressed the damage. The work was sloppy and they expressed zero concern or remorse for the damages to my property."
