"I would really love to give this place 3.5 stars but Google forces me one way or the other, so 3 it is. I lived here for 2 years, from 2020 to 2022. It is a nice complex, the property is well-maintained, the units themselves are nice enough overall, if dated. My largest complaints were as follows: Property management was generally incompetent and poor at communicating. We had a broken washer for several weeks and the situation was only solved after I called my property manager's supervisor to complain about the inaction. Maintenance was another headache, as they typically showed up with no notice once work orders were filed and if we were not present, typically did not leave any notice that they had been there. This is illegal under Prince George's County Code. The HVAC is probably where the building shows its age the most. Climate control is extremely loud and inefficient, leading to $200 electric bills in summer because the AC cannot properly cool the apartment and constantly runs due to poor ventilation. Dust buildup was insane. Overall, not a bad place by any means but desperately in need of some improvements that would make it much less annoying."
"This review is long overdue. I’ll try to be as detailed as possible. I enjoy living at Parke Crescent. I’ve lived here for 2 years and it’s been good. I actually upgraded my unit because I needed more space and wanted to stay at Parke Crescent as the apartments are great and there’s many perks to staying here. Pros: -Located in Historic Greenbelt. Prime location with many conveniences nearby with a sense of community. Located 30 minutes in-between DC and Baltimore. -Pet Friendly: Can have two pets here. -Cost: I’m actually confused by some of these reviews saying the rent is high. Rent in the DMV area will run you $1500 for a one bedroom and 1800-2000+ for a 2 bedroom. This complex’s prices are competitive to that or even slightly lower. -Management/Maintenance: George and now Cheresa are the property managers I’ve experienced and they both have been wonderful and very patient. I can be a tough cookie to deal with but Cheresa and the maintenance team (shout outs to Ray) have been incredibly patient and kind, and have worked hard to complete any requests and answer any questions I have. -No mice: I’ve seen some other apartments in Greenbelt complain about mice but we haven’t had any here at Parke Crescent. -Little to no pests: Aside from the occasional spider or bug, no pests. If you are experiencing them, your apartment can be treated promptly. Cons: -If you like things done immediately when it comes to requests, that won’t happen as the complex does not have 24/7 maintenance but they will respond as soon as they can within 9 am to 6 pm during the week (unless it’s an emergency). The team works hard but they are human. Give them grace. -Thin walls. This is with every apartment complex. Take this with a grain of salt. -Neighbors. Depending on where you are. Since I’ve moved units, I have wonderful neighbors. The old ones I had really were a mixed bag (I had one steal from me and another just difficult to deal with). So this can depend on your unit and building. I hope this review was helpful considering apartments. I will update if anything changes but I plan on remaining a tenant until I’m ready to be a homeowner."
"Parke Crescent is a very quiet community. The office staff is very responsive and keeps the residents informed of closing and other activities that would impact the complex. The new property manager, Cheresa Jones, is very responsive to issues and concerns and shows great customer service when interacting with the residents. Although this is a semi-small community, the maintenance manager, Ray Watson, goes above and beyond to address any maintenance issue that comes up. Parke Crescent is an older community and most of the issues such as leaks, appliance malfunctions cannot be avoided but Ray does his very best to turn any issue around quickly. The walls are very thin and if you are fortunate enough to live in a unit where there are no children over your head, this place would be heaven. The units are spacious and have great natural lighting. I like the convenience to major roads and highways and the shopping/entertainment strip within walking distance. Overall, Parke Crescent is a decent place to live."
"This review is for Ms. Cheresa Jones and her maintenance team Mr. Ray. Thank you so much for going above and beyond expectations. Thank you for being a understanding team, thank you for the communication. Thank you for the awesome customer service. Parke Crescent is a decent place to live I just think rent is way to high for what they accommodate lol they don’t accommodate anything to be honest especially when I have an 11yr old son. No playground, no pool, no fitness center, you have to pay for parking or your car will be towed. The walls are too thin I can hear everything from my neighbors. None of this falls on Ms. Cheresa and her team they do a awesome great job. And I’m very thankful to have a team like hers! You rock Ms. Cheresa and Mr. Ray!"
"I lived in Parke Crescent for a year. It's very well-maintained community and although there are maintenance issues due to the age of the buildings they are quickly addressed. The resident manager, Demetrious Scrivner, is personable, friendly, and responsive to issues, and the maintenance staff is excellent. Located by Greenbelt Center you won't find a better community - it is walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, library, fitness center, and many other small businesses. My only somewhat negative comment is the person who lived above me had hardwood floors and no rugs so it was rather noisy."
