"Mr. Nick was fast and fixed the three "situations" (two doors and one light) speedily and well!"
"Whenever I have had maintenance problems, they have always solved me quickly. I have not had to wait so long. Rene and the other man, the Chinese, are excellent at their jobs. They are respectful people and they do an excellent job. I love The Commons Of Mclean to living"
"A great place to live. Management are friendly, personable and prompt. Apartments are spacious and quiet. Convenient for the McLean Metro just 5/10 minutes walk away. Loads of free parking. Safeway and gas station next door is a bonus! 30 minute drive to Georgetown makes early morning commute a breeze!"
"We lived here for 4 years. They charged reasonable rent even though it's located in the prime Tysons/McLean area. Walkable to metro-station, Safeway within the community, are the advantages with this community. Management is prompt in fixing any maintenance issues; Especially Elizabeth from Management did an excellent job whenever we visited the leasing office. These are old apartments, but we didn't experience any serious issues during our stay. Water leaked from our ceiling a few times, but they fixed the slab. During the last summer of our stay, AC stopped working, and gave us a hard time, they fixed it. We bought a home before moving out from these apartments, still 2 months left in our lease. They didn't allow us to leave one month earlier than the lease agreement we signed, even though we have stayed there precisely 4 years 2 months (without paying the last month rent). Anyways lease agreements usually favour leasing offices over tenants. That's the only disappointment during our stay."
"It’s a good price for the area, but you do compromise some luxuries because of it. There is a very foul odor throughout the entire building, something like mold, mildew, and mothballs. For months after we moved in, we suffered with allergies, potentially due to the mold problem. Outside family and friends remarked that we reeked of it, and so do our belongings. However, maintenance is wonderful, and very quick to assist us. Unfortunately, they can’t fix everything, and I believe a lot of the continual issues are due to the age of the building. There are bug problems, (huge centipedes), our AC broke this summer (but they were very quick to fix it). All in all, it’s ok. If these issues don’t concern you, it’s a great value for the area and location. It’s a nice view, big windows, a homey cozy apartment with a good amount of space."
