"This is by far the worst apartment complex I have lived in. Very irresponsive and non-efficient. Their maintenance service is worst, if you even submit an emergency request they don’t show up until after 2 days, no sense of accountability or compassion. Even to turn back the elevator on, they take 4 days.. my advice to those looking to move here, just save your money and move to a better apartment complex."
"This is the most expensive and worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. When I first ran across this place, everything looked great, and then as soon as we moved in, I realized this is not a good place to stay. There’s nothing but issues, which keeps recurring. These apartment were advertised as a luxury and “Smoke-Free” Community. I guess “Smoke-Free” only apply to tobacco because that’s what isn’t being smoked, if you know what I mean. If you report it, nothing happens. But if my dope-smoking neighbors feel my TV is too loud, I get a phone call from the Acadia about the complaint they filed. When service request are submitted for maintenance issues sometime those same service request are closed out without anyone looking at the issues. My kitchen faucet keeps working its way loose and the entire sink is going to fall into the cabinet any day now. When the technician looked at it, they just said “it's good”. Another issue that reoccurs is, anytime there’s any wind gusts, no matter how strong, we lose all heat and hot water. When we submit the service request the status of the request goes to “In Progress” a few hours later as if someone is going to stop by that day to address the issue, even though it's 20 degrees outside…..NOPE! We just have to freeze, take cold showers, and hope the service request does not magically get closed out. Oh-Yea, we also had a rodent issue (Squirrel) that took over a month to get addressed. As we sit in the living room, you could hear the critters running and playing in the ceiling. When we are in the parking lot, we can see the squirrels going in and out of the dryer vents. I submitted a service request with photos of the rodents, and it was closed without anyone looking into it. So I emailed and sent an individual message to the staff, which they said they never received. We had to keep bugging them before they finally took care of the issue. I’m counting down my days here. This apartment needs a lot of work. The bedroom windows are all dry rotted and cold air is getting in, in the winter and cool air is getting out in the summer. I pointed it out to one of the technicians, when they finally showed up for an issue and of course, there was nothing they could do about it. My rent is almost $3000 per month and this apartment is not worth it. I can’t even trust that I will get my mail here. Some days as I’m leaving or arriving, the entire mailbox is open, with everyone’s mail exposed. If a package is at the mailbox for too long someone comes along and opens it. I guess if it’s not anything cool or of value, they will just leave it and the torn wrapper. I would not suggest living here, to anyone and if you’re reading this I wish you luck on finding the perfect place to stay."
"I did not want to write this review but at this point I have to. I have lived at Acadia Apartments for just under two years. It was just fine in the beginning, however now, I have run into multiple problems: 1. The day I signed my lease I handed in my renters insurance and was told I would receive an electronic copy of my lease. I am still waiting on that copy. They have also been charging me a fee for the past 5 months for "not having renters insurance." So because of the management office error, I am being charged a monthly fee. I have asked to be reimbursed and I have no received any answer back. I am currently owed $100. 2. 4 weeks ago I woke up to my closet sprinkler leaking at 9 am - my clothes were drenched. It took 3 phone calls to the emergency line to get a hold of someone. Once someone came to help, he quickly looked at it and then said "I'll have to call someone." I didn't hear anything back for hours. Finally contractors showed up at 4:00 pm. This was after I (not anyone from maintenance) found a collection bucket to get the water that had been leaking for 10+ hours. Doesn't seem like anyone cares about water leaking out of your ceiling.. 3. This past week I turned on my gas fireplace and within 15 minutes it set off my alarms. I turned it on the previous week and smelt something so after 5 minutes I turned it off. I am 23 weeks pregnant. This made me extremely nervous. I understand gas fireplaces can have a small and/or need to "burn of the dust, but since the alarms were going off I decided to call the emergency line. I called 5+ times within an hour and no one answered. I did not want to risk anything so I called the fire department. When I emailed the office about this situation, no one emailed me back or called me. When I stopped by the office I received a roundabout answer. I then asked if someone was still going to come over to check my fireplace for any malfunctions or leak (as i requested in my email). No one ever came. When I asked why no one was answering the emergency line I was told that they would look into it. No apologies, no concerns.. nothing. *In my email I also stated that I needed my detector put back on the ceiling (firefighters took it off to check it) no one ever came to fix that, guess they don't care about safety in these apartments.* 4. Minor problem, but, I have asked already twice to have my water pressure raised. I barely have enough pressure in my sink to effectively wash dishes. Very minor issue, but also an easy fix. Why hasn't this been adjusted? I lived in another unit last year that had ample pressure and actual hot water. Now I have to turn the faucet all the way on to get hot water which should be burning, but it's not. I hate to make complaints about Maintenance because I know they are always hard working people - but I do not know what is going on here. And it seems like everyone is having problems... I do not need added stress while being pregnant, especially when it comes to my living situation. I think it's absolutely absurd that no one answers the emergency line and no one came to check my fireplace when I expressed my concerns. I have no access to my lease and the fact that I am being charged monthly for an office error is insane. I already had to spend a full day rewashing clothes (even throwing some away) from the closet leak, I do not need to now have a gas scare that could impact the health of not only myself, but also my baby. It seems like I am not the only one with complaints which is extremely unfortunate. I understand being understaffed is hard - but with the money they are charging us here for rent - they should not be understaffed. The only stars I can give are for Troy. He's always super helpful when he's in the office and also knows everything. There have been times when I asked others in the office questions and they gave me the wrong information. Troy is very dependable. Talk to him if you end up moving here."
"I have moved in Sep 2023 and my move-in was super smooth -- Kudos to Karen who helped me in turning up my application in less than 3 days with long holidays approaching. The apartments are good with modern amenities but the maintenance service is horrible. I have been reaching out for simple request to fix my shelves and kitchen cabinets since 45 days but they are just not responding nor committing to their deadlines. I have literally visited the leasing office over 6 times, and they are simply not serious about the customer experience. Why do the resident have to follow-up several times for fixing up the request ? The mailing room is undergoing system change, and I am unable to retrieve my packages until someone from leasing office assists me to mail room. Edit - 11-15-2023 -- changed my rating from 1 star to 3 star for the remodeled apartments :)"
"My experience here has been nothing but bad. Have lived here about a month and the communication with the leasing team has been horrible. There has been a numerous amount of amenities broken since day one. It’s crazy how they market “luxury modern apartments” when the quality is nothing but bad. There is paint all over the hardwood floor from when they repainted. The doors have holes, broken washing machine, broken ice maker. Blinds completely detached and broken and badly scratched cabinets. The biggest safety issue is there are many smoke alarms missing throughout the unit. Bedrooms/bathrooms don’t have locks and on top of that the doors have broken hinges on many doors. I understand they say they are understaffed but it’s unfair to pay this amount in rent when they can’t have prioritize their residence in a timely manner. Not to mention the raccoons/other rodents up in the ceiling."
