Reviews
"I have never written a review about anything in my life but I feel obligated to. My neighbor absolutely blasts music every single night starting 9pm that goes well into the night, and again in the morning starting as early as 6am. I have mentioned this to management many times over many months and not only are they not helpful but they have blatantly ignored my messages multiple times now. Maryland has laws that guarantee quiet in a lease but they do not care at all."
"The walls and floors are paper thin. Good luck if you have an upstairs neighbor as you will hear their every move when walking. Tenants can be inconsiderate when it comes to overall noise as well as keeping the trash room clean. While convenient, the parking garage is extremely dangerous due to people driving recklessly. People tend to speed and cut corners causing near collisions on a daily basis. The leasing office seemed short staffed and trying to reach anyone directly in management felt near impossible. Many complaints and concerns went unanswered or took countless weeks to be even addressed. After two years at Juniper, I am excited that my lease is coming to an end. If you are interested in living near noisy neighbors that management will do nothing to about, almost dying in the parking garage or paying above average rental prices for no actual updates/perks...Juniper is your place."
"I love my new apartment home!! Thank you Shawn for making my leasing experience stress free. I’m enjoying the Merriweather District and living at Juniper. If you are looking in Columbia stop by Juniper and ask for Shawn. She is professional and courteous. All of your questions will be answered timely. Give her a call or stop by the leasing office."
"I’m on my second lease at Juniper and feel I have been here long enough to make an in depth review. I try to recommend Juniper every chance I get. There are so many wonderful things I could say about this building, especially now that construction is almost (?) done with the first floor restaurants. First of all, this community is perfect for tenants who are looking for a neighborhood that is lively & music filled! With Merriweather Post Pavilion right across the street & numerous mini concerts being held in the park behind the building, it’s perfect for those who enjoy getting outside & entertaining friends and family. Now for the actual building, it is SO clean. We have people cleaning every day, I’ve had friends come over who have commented on how good it smells here on numerous occasions. Juniper ACTUALLY upholds their “smoke-free” policy and will try their absolute best to find the residents in violation of this and have successfully handled this as promptly as possible. The fact we have key fob access for front door & elevators & garage makes this apartment SAFE. The entire complex is just stunning, the courtyard is wonderful, and if you’re someone who’s looking for a little less noise but still a great view, I’d highly recommend getting an apartment that looks out over the courtyard. The building also hosts monthly events & posts about events in the community, so there’s always something to do. Side note: all of the restaurants on the first floor are amazing, Dok Khao Thai and Banditos can genuinely take my whole paycheck. Location wise, with the mall in walking distance, quality restaurants downstairs, and Whole Foods not even 2 minutes away, it’s a really great location for those looking for convenience alongside a truly luxury living experience. In regards to Management & Maintenance, I could not say enough great things. When I had first moved in to my 1 bedroom, I did have an issue with the shower running out of hot water like you might see mentioned in a couple other reviews. However, maintenance promptly resolved this and I haven’t had any issues since! I’ve had a few other minor issues and maintenance has come and fixed it almost immediately (I’m talking under 2-4 hours from when I put in a ticket to maintenance). The management, amazing. Seriously, the amount of care they have for the residents, the way I’ve seen them handle situations, is incredible. They are extremely professional & caring & in my experience have always been prompt when responding to any questions or concerns. My only super minor issues with the apartment have been the following: - When we switched from Luxer One to Fetch for our packaging system. Luxer One were these lockers your packages would be delivered to, that you could go and pick up with a code or even from your phone. But then the complex switched to Fetch, which now means we have to send all of our packages to a separate address to then have them dropped off at our door now. Have I had any packages stolen since the switch? No. But it definitely is a concern I have now that I didn’t have with Luxer One. And I know Juniper did receive a lot of pushback regarding this decision from numerous residents. - Having overnight guests. Juniper announced to us a couple months ago that if we were having overnight guests, they’d have to park in the parking garage next to our building that charges $50 a night in order to avoid being towed from the parking lots adjacent to the building. I genuinely feel that for the price we are paying, there should be some sort of designated guest parking in any of the parking lots or even the ability to submit to Juniper through the portal for a guest parking pass that our guests could put on their front windshield in the adjacent parking lots to avoid being towed. Most apartment complexes have designated guest parking, so I don’t understand why Juniper doesn’t, especially given the copious amount of parking available & the number of residents here. All in all, I love Juniper a lot and would highly recommend!"
"Yesterday I went to the temporary leasing office and I met with Jessica and Michael. Both of them were super helpful and I left feeling very confident about putting in my application. So much so that I went home and paid my deposit as well. This morning I woke up feeling like I wasn’t sure if I was getting everything that I really needed out of my new apartment home, so I decided that I was going to go back to the temporary leasing office to speak to someone and see if I can make some sense out of my (extensive “wish list“. when I arrive today, Cat and Michael were on site. They spent almost 2 hours with me helping me understand the floor plans, layout options, locations of the units that are available, and ensuring that my final selection was still available. Not once did either of them make me feel like I was taking too long or even make me feel like my desires or needs were unrealistic. They helped put a lot of things in perspective for me and at the end of it all, I was able to find the unit that I feel more confident that will definitely suit my needs. They were all amazing, had positive attitudes, were very accommodating, and are genuinely as excited for the property to open as the future residents are. I can tell this Community is going to be fun and collaborative. It seems like they haven’t left anything out. While this property is not even open yet, I feel good about the staff that is going to be here at Juniper. *update* The leasing office is open now...photos uploaded Mike Glass’ business card is the last photo. Contact him for leasing info."
