"Thought everything was great and I enjoy the laundry facility is available 24/7. I think the rooms are nice and clean and they have such nice lamps. TV is good. Pretty cozy. I like the kitchen that is in all the rooms, and the full size refrigerator can hold quite a bit of food. The microwave is good enough to really heat up food. The bathtub is great to take a nice bath in, unlike some hotels that only have a shower. There is a pretty nice size of closet and drawers to put clothes and coats in. It's way more than most hotels have. It would be nice if there was a recycling bin somewhere. Most Extended Stay have a trash room for trash and recycling, but the Columbia, MD just has the dumpster in the back of the hotel. The Columbia, MD location had an option to buy some dishes to keep, and that seemed like a great idea."
"Last weekend my partner and I attempted to stay here and we didn't for the following reasons: Front desk staff wasn't that welcoming and we had to wait for a couple of minutes for someone to appear. He had a bit of an attitude, but maybe he had a bad day. Who knows. The hotel itself seemed shoddy at best. You could also here noises from another room and if you're not a cigarette/devil's lettuce smoker the constant smell of them will annoy you. The room seemed somewhat fine up until you get to the bed. There were yellow stains, hair, and other colors that were on the sheets and mattress cover. We immediately left the room to go downstairs to the front desk and it was closed. I have NEVER been to a hotel where the front desk actually closes down. A worker who was a young woman with a bonnet came out of one of the doors in the lobby and assisted us after almost 10 minutes of trying to connect somebody. She was friendly, but nothing else could apparently be done since we definitely did not want to stay in another room. We left and went to stay with an acquaintance for the night. All in all, one star, stay away. Only if you're super desperate and very limited on funds should you actually stay here. For us a lesson has been learned. If you actually have the money to stay somewhere nice, please do! You truly get what you pay for."
"Extended stays come in a few varieties. So if you stay at one, best to check it. This one has nice sized rooms. The building is not bad. It even has a gym (not fancy- mind you). But this one features a staff that is absent. Yes they will be at the front desk, sometimes, but often are not there. And then after about 9pm,.they have no staff. So if you need a late check in or your key doesn't work. Good luck. Not the most ideal. I would describe this place more as a short term apartment build in the style of a dormitory. They are very competitive with price, but they charge for everything. Dishes? Add more, want your room cleaned more then the 2wks, that will cost you. Want more towels? That will cost you. (Kind of like spirit airlines.). On a bright note it passed the sniff test. And they do keep smokers at bay on this one. So at least that nastiness is not as bad. Overall this one has worked, but it has its idiosyncracies."
"Terrible room amenities! They only provide two bath towers and two wash clothes (no hand towel!!) for two people for weekly stay! If you need new towel, you need to pay. There's full kitchen, but no dinnerware or cookware. You have to buy plates, bowls, silverware for $20 and a few pieces of cookware for $60 if you want to cook and eat in the room! Worst of all, they don't even provide iron and ironing board!!! If you're a traveler, stay away from this place!"
