"I made an appointment with Lawrence County Mental Health and Wellness with after feeling as though my current psychological treatment was ineffective in ways and had stagnated at my former practice. After kind and informative interactions with LCMHW staff, I attended an initial/first appointment this January. I'm writing because of the immense gratitude I have for the individual care I have received from LCMHW. Talking to Dr. McMullen was both conversational and compassionate. I felt heard for the first time in awhile , and my concerns with my recent hardships were validated. Both the initial appointment and follow up appointment have been thorough and positive. I feel optimistic about continuing treatment and greatly appreciate LCMHW's for about my mental health and well being. I highly recommend Dr. McMullen and staff to anyone who may be seeking a second opinion on their current mental health care. Their LCMHW offers many resources to take advantage of. "Loved the doctor but the staff was awful. I left another review but to reiterate what I said in the other I was charged when I was told I wouldn’t be, the one woman in the front is awful and is the reason I will never go back. They denied me my medical records saying it was due to that bill I wasn’t supposed to be charged still being owed, which I believe denying someone their medical records for ANY reason is illegal. I just can’t imagine working in a mental health office and treating people the way they do. Never again."

"This man is NOT a medical doctor. Buyer beware, he is not a board certified physician. Edit: while not illegal in PA for him to use Dr. in a clinical setting, it can be misleading as he is not a medical doctor. his doctoral degree is more related to a college professor. It is not a doctorate in the same sense as a medical degree. In California and a growing number of states, in a clinical setting Doctor is a protected title reserved for physicians only. I’m just saying so people are aware."

"Doctor Mike has been phenomenal to see, I’ve dealt with severe mental health issues since I was 14 and I’m 30 with no one who would listen, take me seriously, or continue to prescribe me medications that never worked and made things worse He’s very blunt, honest and most of all caring, he listens to everything you say, and truly shows compassion for the patient, from day one he told me it would be a little while before he got it right but within 6 months I think I’m finally on the right path and medications that actually work for me. The front desk staff is always so friendly and helpful as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I tell everyone he’s my “mental health pill doctor” I couldn’t be more thankful for finding this practice!"
