Reviews
"I have never written a review online before, but this was such an avoidable and frustrating experience I had to share. I popped my front tire, so I took it to Dr. Cycles to get the tube fixed five days ago. My initial interaction with the owner was strange, but he fixed it quickly and cheaply, so it didn't phase me. Riding on Kelly Drive the following day, it popped again, probably two miles into my journey. I took it back, explaining it was probably a faulty tube or incorrect installation, but he wouldn't investigate, saying his pump was broken and would call me the following day. I received no call from him, and he did not answer my calls. When I finally got a chance to go over during my lunch break today, he said that "he didnt know how I rode my bike," so I owed him money for the second tube replacement. I calmly reasoned with him because of his lack of transparency when I dropped it off and the apparent installation problem on his end. He proceeded to take the tire back off and remove the tube because he "didnt want to argue with me." Honestly dumbfounded at how unbelievably challenging and rude this straightforward process has been with him. Dont go. The cheap rates are not worth it because his results are not reliable."
"Velojawn is great and was closer, but they hadn’t opened yet. Mike was just opening up at Dr. Cycles and changed my tube in less than 5 minutes for $15. I asked if he could sell me an extra tube, but he said he didn’t have spares. Really, I couldn’t ask for better. I’ve been charged nearly 3x this in other shops."
"Michael is awesome! I was priced at $300 for a repair at another shop when all I wanted was my fork fixed just so that I didn’t have my bike of 7 years thrown out. At that point of owning a bike it gets sentimental! He put me right at $145 and I was ecstatic. There some more repairs waiting for my bike but best believe I’ll be coming here for the rest of its fixes. I also just recently bought a used bike for my partner from here. Went on a test ride after purchase before I let them have it and the break was hugging the tire, Michael fixed that up right away for me free of charge. If you’re tired of bike shops adding extra charges when you just need a simple tune up come here. He is to the point and will fix what you ask for."
"This guy pick up my bike for service a week ago.i haven't heard from him since. I tried calling him several times. No response yet . This is my bike .a present from my girlfriend for my 50 birthday if you see it let me know"
"He noticed that I have a nice bike, said I need to change the oil for the bearings without touching the bike. Asked for $10, 30 minutes and wanted me to leave the place and go to a pizza place or something. I told him I don’t feel comfortable doing that, he literally pushed my bike and didn’t even say anything. I don’t understand why open a business if you are that unprofessional. If you try to scam someone, be smart about it at least."
