"The room smelled a little, but we travel with an air purifier so that wasn't bad. I got in almost at 1 AM and didn't get to sleep till 2 AM. And I called in the morning to ask if I could stay until noon. And she said no and I said I was at lifetime diamond member and she said diamond, gold, doesn't matter to me. Even though I was feeling sick and didn't sleep. She did not care I had to be out by eleven."
"The location is good for commuting around VA, DC, and MD. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hilton App was down, so we couldn't have contactless check-in and receive digital keys, one of our primary reasons for booking with Hilton. The water in all 3 of our rooms was cool to cold in the showers both days. A barking, yappy dog barked, unabated for over an hour, waking all of us. We were working overnights, so this wake-up was VERY unwelcome."
"Pros - Good location - Breakfast (although burnt eggs and limited yogurt options) - laundry area ($3.00 to wash and dry) - super hot showers - mini fridge - microwave Cons - Not alot of shopping to choose from in the area - stains on the ceiling - No business area with computers. A stationary tablet was provided and the front desk staff couldn't figure out how to use it. - The side door was taped. When I asked the front desk staff about it she stated the door would lock from the inside creating a fire hazard so they taped it. But that created a safety and security issue. She mentioned there were cameras on the property. - Bed/Pillows were terrible. - hard to push suit cases on carpet"
"We arrived at this property after making our reservation online through Hilton Honors as we normally do. I made sure that it was marked in our request to be away from the elevators as we travel with a service animal. He is taught to alert to noise to make sure that my daughter hears what’s around her. For that reason, we usually make sure that we do not travel into heavily booked hotels, and we stay away from elevators. She said well this is the room I gave you and I didn’t see that part. I still looked at her, waiting for her to offer to change the room. We went upstairs, and lo and behold. We were exactly across from the elevator. I came downstairs again assuming that they were booked is why we had to have that room, and explain to her that part of his training is to bark when he hears voices close by to alert The person that he works for. The first thing she said to me was well if he barks and bothers people, I will either charge you a fine or you will have to leave the hotel. I explain to her that he is a trained and registered service animal and that I have already asked for a different room and explain to her what his job is. She looked at me with a blank expression and we left for dinner. When we return, she said oh I think I have a different room for you but again if he barks or makes too much noise, I will have to charge you extra or you’re going have to leave. I explained to her that he is suddenly protected, and that he will not bark just to bark. I have worked for hotel chains for years, I have State at Hilton for more than 30 years and I am a diamond member. I have never been threatened at the front desk that is a service animal , that I am training, barks that I will be fined or need to leave. I’m pretty sure that the people to come in late and drunk that slam doors and wake everybody up. Do not get fined or need to leave. I’m pretty sure that the people that work there that smell like marijuana the whole time don’t get told that they have to leave. I’m pretty sure that when you go down for breakfast, and the waffles are already made, and in a bin covered with foil and the food all look so bad that nobody was made to leave or threatened. This was one of the worst experiences from Hilton that I’ve ever had in 30 years. Before I left, I asked to speak to the manager. This woman said he’s the manager and pointed to the guy sitting next to her. So when I asked to speak to the manager, he never said that to me, what can I help you with. He looked at me as if I was a bother. I told him I was not trying to get a refund and this was just as a courtesy me, informing him of what the laws are involving trained service, animals and ADA regulations. I explained to him that I was a Hilton, Deynon, Denver, and that I stayed exclusively at Hilton hotels. I have never had this issue before. The entire time he looked at me it was with contempt and agitation. When I finished, he said, and I quote- I will listen to the tape and if something needs to be done, I will do it. The problem with this is we stayed at this hotel, thinking it wouldn’t be as busy as the ones closer to DC because we were looking for something quiet. It really wasn’t worth it. Next time I’ll stay at a busier hotel with people that actually want you there. This should not even have the Hilton name associated with it."
"Check-in was terrible. Ethan is very rude and has a bad attitude on the phone as well as in person. If you don't like your job, then quit. I will never stay here again just because of Ethan. The ceiling had spider webs over the bed. The AC has mold on it. The walls were dirty. The curtain was stained. The bathroom ceiling had a hole in it."
