Red Roof Inn Baltimore

"Would not recommend staying here at all! This location is drama filled amongst the employees and owner. I been staying at this location since Feb 2023 off and on for work. This location is close to the expressway and dogs are free. After staying here for a couple of months I always notice the manager( guy with the patches) always arguing with guest. One time the police were called because he didn’t pay for work around the property. Furthermore if he know you have a skill/business he will try to ask you to fix something or do something around the hotel for a free night. Well I minded my business like I always do but they found out I have a janitorial company. The owner asked me to clean the carpets in the hotel lobby. I gave them a quote $$ and he counter offered for a free night at the hotel. I declined as my bank needs to see transactions, not a free night at a hotel. Ever since the owner been trying to persuade me to do the job. I decline. He will try to show you pictures of him volunteering to get you to see he’s a good guy. Don’t believe it he will try to get you to work for a free night. Or little to nonething and call the police and find any reason to get you kicked off the property. ever since I told him I wasn’t interested in doing the job. It’s been a mess! House keeping ignores the do not disturb on the door. They will enter/change sheets, towels etc. the last stay they were in and out my room. I don’t care do your job but….. When I came back the rude guy who never smiles who dyes his gray hair black… usually works 2nd shift was Standish off. Ignored me at the desk, took other guest before me. He informed me that I couldn’t get a room because a sheet was missing the last time I stayed. I been staying off and on since Feb 2023… it’s November 2023 and the only reason I can’t get a room because a “sheet” was missing. It’s a little more to it than a sheet. Esp when room keeping in and out replacing towels bed sheets etc. The owner is nasty work …please advise and spend your money elsewhere!"

"This place is terrible. I will never stay here again. I saw a few roaches. I asked a worker for extra wash clothes she said I’m not working this side and walked off with an attitude. I got a note on my car saying to move my car to another spot or else I will get towed when there are no signs for no parking in that spot. I tried to give my daughters a bath but they don’t have tub stoppers showers only. I had to go buy my own tub stopper. The towels are not clean. There are a lot of holes in the walls that need to be repaired. The beds are very small. I had to buy a blow up mattress. For money I spent I was not happy AT ALL"

"The manager was very standoffish he just assume I knew the hotel protocols on how it runs. it was my daughter and baby grandson first time at a hotel due to a emergency. And we just winged it until our situation changed."

"This location was the least pleasant stay I've ever had at a Red Roof Inn, and I've visited multiple in different states including the Red Roof Inn in Timonium. My initial room, which I got swapped out of, had sheets that appeared to have bloodstains on them as well as a flickering light right outside the window, the room I was moved into had hairs on the bedding, towels that looked dingy with faint staining on them, and I killed a roach the morning I left. I know Red Roof Inn is an economy brand, but I've always found them to be reliable and adequately clean. This is the first Red Roof Inn I would not only not recommend, but actively discourage people from visiting. Either standards have fallen in the wake of the pandemic, or this location isn't being maintained properly. The only upside was that the night staff was accommodating. They took my complaint about the first room seriously and moved me quickly. As my business partner did not arrive on the first night, he did not notice the less-than-clean bedding until the second night, and I only found the roach the morning I was going to check out, and the front desk took the keycards and turned to leave before I mentioned the roach issue. I will agree with the below complaint that the cleaning staff banged on the door."

"Cleaning staff is extremely unprofessional. They come every morning and band on your room door like they the police. If you don't answer your door for them, then they use their master card key and just walk into your room. If you refuse their cleaning service they go tell the hotel management staff them the manager comes to your room. He immediately makes verbal threats that if you don't let house keeping Come into your room, then you need to leave. If you say you are not leaving because you refuse housekeeping services. The manager immediately calls the Baltimore County Police department and makes calls allegations against you. And Baltimore County Police department officers make you gather your belongings and leave off of the property immediately."
