"A complete waste of time and money! Gel manicure was done so sloppy! I was so annoyed i just wanted to pay and leave! I hate this manicure! Don’t waste your time!"
"The ladies in there don’t know how to shape a nail properly! I went in expecting to get skinny square and I left with very chunky nails. When i told the lady I didn’t like my nails she proceeded to tell me it was because she didn’t have an inspiration picture, your telling me that you need an inspiration picture for SQUARE NAILS?!?!?!???!???"
"RUDE. DISMISSIVE. DISREPECTFUL. PLEASE LET'S SERIOUSLY CONSIDER HOW TO ALWAYS KEEP OUR MONEY IN OUR COMMUNITY AS HAS BEEN MODELED BY MANY OTHER GROUPINGS OF PEOPLE. THERE ARE STELLAR BOB NAIL SALONS AND SPAS IN PHILLY AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS. I used to frequent here for years. I stopped my business with them when years ago when my eyebrows were done so poorly that I was embarrassed to show my face. They did not care. In a rush, I tried today to get toe polish change and a gel mani. The owner misunderstood my request for service and I was given a gel polish change. The cracks in my nails were covered with acrylic that the tech (same one who botched my eyebrows years ago) didn't bother to even smooth out. I kept asking for them to be cut down. She told me it looked fine. I'd already paid and tipped her in cash. I was upset but try to deal kindly regardless. I even said, okay I am in a rush because I have to work. It was a misunderstanding. And instead of the owner offering a solution she mumbled under her breath for me to have a nice life! I was so upset that once I got home I left my house and went back to ask her if we could speak privately to come to a solution. She told me no because she was with a client. They stop to do eyebrows when with a client but again the DISRESPECT IS AGGREGIOUS. I insisted she give me the respect of a conversation. She said call her. I said no. You insulted me in person you will make it right in person and asked for a better time. She then asked, after calling me a liar, that I leave my number which I did. Even a gel polish should not look this terrible! They do not care. I am not upset about the money. I am upset about the lack of human decency and the lack of professionalism. I am appauled that this owner values my dollar more than me and is brazen enough to let me know to my face that rendering respectful, excellent service is something she feels that I do not deserve. Whether it is because I am black . . . I don't know. The thing is that excellent service doesn’t make you wonder. Do not support this business. If you already do, please consider taking your money somewhere else."
"I try to support local businesses....So I've been here about 6 times. I think all but one time, I was disappointed. I keep returning because it is literally 5 minutes from my house and they have great hours. Unfortunately, even though the technicians are sweet, they are over priced and are not up to date with current nail designs. By service: Pedicure- Great experience-hence why they didn't get a 1 or 2. Gel Manicure- (6 times between myself and daughter) "Due to covid" you are forced to get gel only (feet and hands). I feel at this point, even though I usually get gel, it should be optional. The shaping of the nails is usually off, leaning, too larger or small, or thicker than desired, and there is usually polish left on the finger. I asked for a simple ombre and they said they didn't know how to do it. Lashes- (once) Just don't. It's super cheap, but my lashes were itching, they were super thick and the tech was wiping the lash residue on my shirt...(who does that?) Brows- About 3 times- I always say clean and 1 time it was perfect...other 2 times, they were too thin. The reason why I decided never to go back (barring a crazy emergency and I can't get to Olney or the Northeast) is that they charged me $55 for a refill. When I asked for a break down....the tech had the nerve to say it was due to the fact that 2 nails were a different color.....seriously!!!! $20 for varying polish! I kept my composure in the shop (still tipped-shouldn't have) but tried to call back to let them know they shouldn't over charge. They didn't pick up. So here's my long post hoping they will stop over charging hard working people that try to support local business! Pic of daughter's nails (red-minutes after) $55 refill and pic of my nails 2 weeks later...$50 refill... Pros: Good hours, proximity, clean, short wait, good pedicures, hot towel Cons: Overpriced/arbitrary pricing, not up to date with current designs,"
"Appt was at 4, got seen at 445. Pedicure was pretty good that honestly saved them. The lady who did my nails, she said as rushing. My nails are clumpy and not smooth and not shaped correctly I think there was no care here. Just pain and run, and I do mean she painted them, kept them in the light for not long then grabbed her pocketbook and left. She told me I was done as she was walking out. With gel, I check if they’re ready by wiping them….all the clear coat was still sticky and looked nasty. The pictures seen are 3 days after they were done and as you can see one fell off. Very very meh personally wouldn’t go back or recommend"
