"My cat Leo used to be groomed at his regular vet in Woodbridge but the cat groomer quit. I had a lot of trouble finding someone to groom him as he requires sedation. Pawsitive care was able to make him an appointment quickly and did a great job removing his matted fur. He has no irritation from the grooming and i was able to wait for him instead of dropping him off. They were very kind and easy to deal with. Leo had a great experience and so did I."
"Having four fur-babies means we spend a lot of time at the vet. Dr. Mushtaq has a very soft & gentile disposition that we all appreciate. He’s helped us with some tricky illnesses and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best outcome for his patients. The staff is always organized and kind, and you’d never know other animals were there because it’s always clean & tidy."
"I've been using the same vet as my family for thirty years, who happens to be 75 miles from where I live now. My cat recently got sick and I didn't want to make the long trip but instead called Pawsitive Care Animal Hospital. They were courteous, professional, and caring. After hearing my concerns and establishing that the cat wasn't in critical condition, they asked if I could wait until the next day to come in. No problem. At our appointment the next day I was completely impressed with this practice. It's clean, bright, and the employees seem happy to be working there. The doctor heard my concerns well, watched a couple videos I've taken of the cat, did a good examination, and made recommendations for treatment. I'm so glad to have found this vet, and I recommend the practice highly."
"They had no patience with my cat and were not able to handle him correctly during the year we took him here. They suggested sedation for his blood test which I understood was necessary, but then they started suggesting it during every visit as soon as my cat would hiss (sedation is $90). The female vet assistant tried muzzling him multiple times unsuccessfully and did so very timidly, which only added to my cat's stress and discomfort. They were unable to swaddle him or pick him up at all because they were scared and unwilling. The last time I went, they brought in another vet to hold my cat down while they gave him his vaccine; although he was able to do it, it was a stressful experience. The vet was struggling and my cat was screeching the whole time. When switching to a new vet in Manassas (Morganna), they didn't even blink an eye when my cat hissed. She simply picked up my cat with ease and the team worked together to give him two shots without as much of a fuss. My cat was unhappy as usual which is expected, but they were very confident in handling him which made it go by so much easier and quicker. My cat definitely appreciated them more. They are also cheaper. In summary, the staff here is unwilling to deal with animals who do not like the vet. I would suggest not coming here if your cat sounds like mine."
"Saying that the veterinarian and staff are wonderful is an understatement. They listen to what my fur baby and I need. I have a pit/lab mix rescue who has severe environmental, dust mite, and food allergies. We have gone through 5 vets who claimed to have “5-star rating” in the last two years. I used to see the vet 2-3x a month because they couldn’t figure out her problem and told me “allergies are hard to treat”. I was super disappointed with the one 1 minute f pod in Quantico. It ultimately comes down to how much effort (not just money) to put into your pets who have these conditions. All we had to do was change her diet to strict raw diet no preservatives and wipe or wash her down every time she goes outside. This works 90% of the time. She has severe allergies that if we forget those steps, she will flare up really bad. By far, she only had one flare up and I was not going back to any of the vets I’ve dealt with. With enough research, I took a shot at PCAH and the vet knows exactly what we are looking for and what she needs. We also have a cat who needed their help 2 weeks ago and we had never seen him this sick before. After few days of care, he is slowly back to normal! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a vet that knows what your pet needs without putting you through the hurdles."
