Green Pallet 32 Van Tuyl Road, Pond Eddy, NY 12770
About the Business
Green Pallet is a unique institution located at 32 Van Tuyl Road in Pond Eddy, New York, United States. This establishment is a combination of a furniture store, general contractor, home goods store, and more. The interior features an end grain tile floor, an irregular ceiling made from beams, and steel and wood shelving throughout.
One of the highlights of Green Pallet is the stadium seating and stage that was curated, hosted, and created for the annual youth band concert. Additionally, the space showcases wood walls, custom shelving units with steel blackboards, and tables for a rustic and industrial feel.
In 2007, renowned puppeteer Eric Sanko and his team visited Green Pallet to build a giant puppet from reclaimed wood and hardware for the production Dear Mme. The 15-foot working puppet with manually controlled hands and arms was a spectacular addition to the space, complete with a tiny marionette stage that opened from his chest. The Kronos Quartet even performed the music at BAM.
The flooring at Green Pallet includes heart pine chalk finish and end grain tile, adding to the unique and eclectic atmosphere. The rafters and collar ties from the Hamptons, a mantel from Tadasana House, and timber frame rafters from Kenoza Lake are all incorporated into the design.
With ebonized pine floors, a mix of hardwoods (mostly chestnut) being ebonized, and roofboards used as flooring with a dog, Green Pallet offers a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors.
