"Employees are always helpful and friendly. They are always willing to answer questions and find items at other stores if they happen to be out. The dock crew is great, too!"
"I love going to The Mill in Hampstead! The staff are super friendly. Chelsea is always a huge help with all of my chicken questions, and gives me neat ideas of different things I can offer them. I highly recommend going there!!"
"The Mill is my favorite place to go to for QUALITY pet food, treats, and supplies. The staff is so welcoming to my dog, we love stopping in to see everyone! The Mill is also my go-to for seeds and organic soil. They have everything I need for my garden."
"I enjoy The Mill for its atmosphere, items, and kind staff. However, my experience yesterday wasn’t good. A cashier, young lady with long dark hair, was unfriendly and it didn’t sit well for me. I was purchasing bird seed and a candle, when I approached the counter of 2 young ladies standing together, I smiled and greeted them. They looked at me and my son, both made eye contact with us, but the dark hair one turned back and continued her conversation. When she was finished, I suppose, that was when they then acknowledged us, and it felt as though I’d done something wrong. From there, the interaction was uncomfortable. I asked the ladies how they were doing, one was friendly (young lady with glasses), the other was curt (long dark hair). Most of the interaction was with the dark haired one, and it felt there was tension the entire time, so I remained quiet unless they asked a question as to not engage or upset her. She abruptly asked if I had an account in the system, which is appreciated so I can ensure we accumulate rewards, however, it’s not what she said, but how she said it. Her tone and constant banter with her coworker gave the impression she was irritated with me and my son. I understand talking with coworkers but I felt she was doing it deliberately to me and my son. Lastly, her opinion or rather, insult on the candle I purchased was odd and unexpected, especially since I was quiet and didn’t ask either one of them about it, they started the discussion on their own in front of me and my son. Even her coworker (young w/glasses) noticed her coworkers tone as she said to all of us “my isn’t she full of happiness”. I believe we have a choice every day to be kind to others and for what reason this lady was especially rude to me, I’m not sure. I left feeling some way, and did not appreciate this interaction especially with my son with me. It was strange and I hope it was a one time ordeal, because my family and I go here to support small businesses and we do enjoy the store, it’s very cute."
"I love coming into the Blackhorse location. Everyone is super friendly and they know my name and needs! Being at The Mill is like being with family! Thank you for serving us."
