"I have never truly been a fan of this place but decided to give it another try. The service wasn't bad and the atmosphere is always neat. The eggs were pretty good as well as the biscuits. The sausage was basically a dry hockey puck so the waitress was able to replace it with bacon which was good. The coffee was good. The sausage gravy had no taste to it though. It felt like I was eating wet flower. I added pepper and it was tolerable. The fried apples were the best part of the meal. Hopefully the next experience is better."
"I have mixed feelings on this visit. My food was cooked good it was a bit on the room temperature side. My husband’s biscuits were so hard and I mean like a solid dough ball. He didn’t send them back because our waitress wasn’t very attentive and figured by the time he got them I’d be done eating anyway. I love the roaring fireplace it gives it such a cozy feeling. I did purchase some item from the gift shop and those ladies were awesome! Very friendly and helpful."
"Don't order the chicken pot pie! I was shocked, little to no filling, just a big slab of tasteless pie crust on top and when I lifted it - hardly any filling - the dish was only 1 1/2" tall. The few pieces of chicken has fat on them. I think I got 4 carrots, one piece of potato and a few pieces of chicken. There were several peas so if you like them, you are in luck. My mom liked her french toast and bacon, but her scrambled eggs were runny. Our server started out good, but after our food was delivered - it all went down south. I have always loved Cracker Barrel, but anymore the food is sub par and the service was bad for how slow they were."
"We love this place. The food is always great. I always get Grandma’s Breakfast with French toast, bacon, eggs, with optional fresh strawberries and whipped cream. They have a wonderful strawberry syrup that is served warm which really makes the whole meal. If you prefer regular syrup, theirs is the best and comes warm also - and if you really like it they sell it in the store. My husband discovered a new favorite - maple bacon glazed chicken. The first time he had it he talked about it for a week. Linda is my new favorite server with the artful way she served my meal and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we wanted. We’ll be back soon. Don’t forget to check out the country store cause you’ll find so many things you can’t find anywhere else. I walked out with an early Christmas present - a beautiful tailored jacket."
"9/9/23 Attached are pictures of the scrambled eggs that I was served. I took one bite and instantly knew that the texture was off. I proceeded to scramble them and was shocked at the light brown color. They were rubbery, cool, and gross! My appetite was immediately lost. They did not taste rancid, just rubbery and cool. The cheese was slightly melted on top and also cool. The waitress was very nice, quick, and pleasant. My wife had the eggs benedict and was pleased with her meal. Beware of the scrambled eggs! I will not be going back. Please comment on my post if you know what's up with these alien eggs. Thank you"
