Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh North/Cranberry Woods

"This review is intended to be constructive The check in and out person was the same. She was indifferent not terrible but not customer friendly. The hotel and room appearance were fine some wear but maintained. The room heater was loud and blew cold air over the bed. The shower handle was loose and did not always operate as intended. It was a holiday weekend so we managed around these issues. Reporting these upon checkout she simply stated I’ll let housekeeping know. So indifferent seems accurate. Might stay again but I would expect a better experience. Thanks"

"If you like to sleep in a room covered in hair and dust, this is the place for you. I thought there was a foam backing on the lightswitch plate but with further inspection, it was built up dirt. The bathroom had pink sludge and hair in the corners of the tub and there was a gray liquid dripping from the soap dish. I wanted to change rooms but when I asked the rest of the group that we were traveling with what their room looked like, they responded with filthy, covered in hair and dust. So pretty much all the rooms are nasty. The lobby chairs smelled like smoke and the garbage from the lobby was piled up so bad that we ended up taking it out ourselves. Rest assured there is security (eye roll) on the premises. Maybe less security and more custodial. Do better Marriott!!!"

"Great place to stay just outside Pittsburgh. Plenty of stuff nearby, but few food options that you can walk to (short distance but no crosswalks). Elevator was getting repaired while we stayed there."

"It might a fine hotel. Standard expectations for a Courtyard with some exceptions. Checkin and checkout went fine and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. No issues and actually some stars there. But I had a couple of issues. The room I had smelled musty like standing water or a water leak. Thought after the AC ran for a while it would disappear but it did not. Told the front desk in the morning and they offered to change my room. I only had one more night so I just ignored it. Second issue was that the Internet stank. Full WiFi bars on the phone and laptop but sped was very poor and would not work to do a Remote Desktop session or email. Third issue was more of an annoyance but 25% of the channels on the TV had error messages on them implying that they were not subscribed or no signal. Annoyance but it was annoyance since the guide on the TV did not work either so I was clicking up and down to find something to watch. Lastly, food prices were super expensive. I purchased a bagel with cream cheese and a bottle of Orange Juice and it came to $12.00 before tip. Ouch. Next morning I went down the road to Burger King and got a couple of breakfast sandwiches and a coke for $7.00. There are a number of the chain hotels at this exit so next time I will probably try a different one."

"Very pleased with the hotel. Easy to miss the turn after the exit, and I wound up in the Marriott in front of the Courtyard trying to check in for my reservation. Everyone handles it smoothly, and zero complaints there. Room met my expectations and I would definitely stay again. Comfy beds, nice staff, clean rooms and a great overall experience."
