"I give my highest recommendation to Cherry way dental and Dr. Pounds. Definitely the best of the ~10 dentists I’ve had thus far. Here’s a few of the reasons why: 1. Strong focus on periodontal health - they were the first to tell me that I had ~2mm of bone loss from gum disease, and that this put me at higher risk of future gum disease. They measured both gun recession and pocket size and treated a couple of my deeper pockets with antibiotics. 2. Very knowledgeable dentist and staff - This was the first time I was able to get a recommendation for something more I could do beyond the standard recommendations to help prevent cavities. I came away with three - more frequent cleanings, prescription toothpaste, and textured floss. 3. Competent and kind front office and back office staff - last time I checked in, the front office person simply waved at me and said “Hi, Jordan! You’re good to go”. The same person told me I forgot my toothpaste and gave it to me on my way out last time. 4. The dentist actually listens. I’ve had plenty of dentists just tell me what I’m doing wrong, not listen, and just treat me like an average patient (I am not - my teeth fall apart much more quickly). Dr. Pounds actually listened and worked with me to figure out what we could do differently, and was willing to treat a cavity that I believed needed to be treated immediately (surprise - it did - the decay was much more extensive than my last dentist thought based only on an X-ray)."
