"Great stay from the moment we arrived where Shae welcomed us warmly. She provided information on the area and helped us find an excellent restaurant for dinner. Thank you Shae! Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, thank you !"
"This turned into one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel in some time. We had several family members in attendance. The hotel gave adjoining rooms (a middle door(s) to connect the rooms) so we could coordinate better. They had all the amenities, so we didn't need anything. When we arrived, the lobby coffee machine needed attention. A staff member got right on it and had that machine brewing in no time. There are like 6 different styles of coffee to choose from, plus hot chocolate and tea. Now, I don't know about you, but I enjoy a decent breakfast before I hit the road. We scurried on down to the breakfast area, which was not out in the open. You have to find it. It's located on the other side of the main dining room. There's a sign that reads "dining room entrance," which is where the breakfast buffet is located. This breakfast is top-notch! First, there were two types of eggs regular scrambled and soft scrambled, home fries, a medley of red peppers, onions in a savory sauce (yum) to put over home fries or anything else. Also on the buffet were biscuits, gravy, a waffle iron, and more. The breakfast was fantastic thanks to Chef Tony, who has been the focus of many reviews I have found. Kudos to Chef Tony and the staff as they really went the extra mile. So m I would highly recommend this hotel. The next time I'm in Wilkes-Barrer, I will definitely be staying here."
"From the first phone call to Simone regarding our reservation to meeting Michael and Frank working in the hotel restaurant/bar, we were met with the best customer service we've received in as long as I can remember. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Free parking and outstanding continential breakfast buffet choices just added to our experience. Thank you for making us feel like family!"
"Let me start by saying, don't expect fancy luxury here; you won't find it. But there are some cool things about this place that make it worth checking out. Service and Hospitality: What really stands out is the awesome service. When we checked in, the folks at the front desk were super nice and friendly. They made us feel welcome right from the start. But the best part was meeting Michael after the show. He went out of his way to make sure our kids didn't go to bed hungry, even though the kitchen had already closed. That kind of service is pretty hard to come by, and it made our stay pretty awesome. Convenience: One big plus about this place is its location. If you're in town to catch a show at the F.M. Kirby Center, you're in luck. It's just a short walk away, and that made our whole experience a lot more convenient. Being able to stroll over to the show and then back to our room afterward was a big win. Overall Experience: Okay, it's true that this hotel has been around for a while, and it doesn't have all the modern bells and whistles. But if you're willing to overlook that for just one night, you'll find that the awesome service and killer location totally make up for it. In a nutshell, it's not a fancy-pants hotel, but it's got heart and is in a sweet spot if you're hitting up the F.M. Kirby Center. So, if you're up for a unique and fun experience, give it a shot."
"DISGUSTING ! TERRIBLE ! Shae was the most unprofessional worker. She has no professional personality whatsoever. I asked for a manager and she told me she is one. To find out later that she has no authority. I also overheard her discussing me and my children with another co-worker of hers. When asked about this she said it wasn’t my business. She then proceeded to address my minor children about my reservation. This was my SECOND experience with this place. SECOND TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS WOMEN. I believe give everything a chance 2 times. There will never be a 3rd! We only book this location for the out door pool. Which we were told we can utilize until a certain time & that was not honored. Shae emotionally traumatized my children. They were asking me millions of questions with what was happening and why. IN ADDITION, The beds had blood stains everywhere and under the beds were not thoroughly vacuumed. I felt very uncomfortable with the price I paid for the service that was rendered. To continue, I reached out to the management department WHO CONDONES THIS BEHAVIOR. I hate that our city has become overrun with this attitude and that this behavior is tolerated. I’ll be doing as much as I can to reach out to the owner of this place and having him do a very thorough investigation!! And put all of his management team under extreme scrutiny to ensure better service all around !"
