"By far one of the worst places I’ve stayed in. Through out our stay our keys would not stay active! Had to keep running to the front desk to get it fixed. Our door had to be slammed closed or it wouldn’t close at all! During breakfast there was no one there to tell us that there was a menu option included with our package. YES THERE IS A MENU YOU CAN GET FRESH FOOD FOR BREAKFAST!!! My 2 eggs over easy came out to one. Water on the bathroom floor upon arrival. No paper in the printer! Just not very well kept. Also no microwave or fridge in the room. Atmosphere is kind of gloomy in every part of the hotel! POOL AND HOT TUB ARE SAME TEMP heater in the hot tub doesn’t work."
"Had a medical procedure that required a 6AM check in time. Living 1.5 hours away and having young boys, would of had us having to get up at 3:30AM to make it in time. The fact that this hotel was, literally, mins from the hospital greatly helped relieve some stress of that day. Our reservation process was simple and quick and they offered us a hospital discount The room, even though some reviews said they were dated, was actually one of the better rooms my family and I have been in. I can't speak for all the rooms, but our room looked very modern. I rated this a 4 only for a couple minor issues. Shower pressure could of been a little better, if wasn't horrible, but for me, I like a heavy hitting shower. There was a little cosmetic wall paper peeling, again not major, but it stood out to me seeing how the rest of the room looked. Lastly, I wish I had known about kids eating for free 12 and under as long as adult meals were purchased during reservation, could of saved a little bit of money. All and all, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone having to under go surgery. Great location, good price, and lots of other resturants in the area if you didn't want to eat there."
"Staff was nice. My first room heat wouldn’t work so they were willing to move me to another room. Grateful for that. The second room at least the air coming out of the heater wasn ‘t cold but wasn’t that hot either especially when the fan ran. My mother fell on the weekend and fractured her hip, had surgery Christmas Day. The location of the Holiday Inn was great because I did not want to keep commuting back and forth to Harrisburg each day. The cost of the room was outrageous for the condition of my room (I took pictures). There was no chain on my door as add security, bathroom tub was disgusting ( the floor of the tub was very worn looking and the paint/ interior of… was deteriorated/ peeling), the heater ran loud in both rooms, the floors did not look vacuumed, there was a towel in the bathroom that had black spots (looked like mold) on it and there were hairs on my pillowcases. If I was only paying $100 not a problem, but this Holiday Inn had a rating of 4.2. I paid less for Hotels that were in better condition and cleaner. I was hoping for a place I would feel safe in and not anxious about the cleanliness. I am paying $174 with a membership price. The cost was $134 + taxes. No mini fridge/ microwave that seems to be basic in most places I have stayed at a cheaper price. If it wasn’t for my mom in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital I would not have stayed here. I have never left a review like this in a 4.2 star rating hotel. Understand I live in Texas and when we drive up I stay at many different hotels and sometimes with my pet dogs, I haven’t stayed in a hotel that I have gave a rating like this. Cost of the room does not match the safety and cleanliness of the room."
"I don’t even know where to start with Holiday Inn-East Mountain. If I could give them 100 stars as a review I would. From the start to end they were amazing. Daniel, Shirley, Kyle and the rest of the whole staff was phenomenal. They listened to me and helped me every step of the way. I would look forward to my sit downs with Daniel to go over the wedding details. They set my wedding up beautifully, the food was amazing, and went above and beyond. My wedding was absolutely stunning and we had the best time as did our guest. If you are looking to have a wedding here I would 100% recommend it. You will enjoy the team you work with and you will love the end result. They are wonderful! My wedding dream come true!"
"Charlie at the front desk was so professional and welcoming. He gave us a great west facing room on the top floor with an awesome view. Everything about the room was great and the Bistro restaurant has a very extensive menu. We had a wonderful dinner there and an overall great stay. We'll definitely stay again."
