"I guess they're on a budget and can't afford to run the heat in winter? It was very cold inside. I'll admit, there's not much appeal in the "showmanship" of watching someone cook my food. I do like that I can see how it's cooked and how quickly it's served after it's cooked, but I don't think I should pay a premium for babysitting a cook. That said, the prices are pretty standard. However, that calls attention to my biggest frustration with this restaurant. They claim 50% off their sushi every day. It's not, it's so incredibly disingenuous, and insulting . If you're content to feed me bull$&!#, might as well skyjack your menu even more and say 90% off every day. No one has ever charged me double your "sale price" for a Philly Roll. Not ever. In fact, very few have ever charged me that much for a premium signature roll. And these rolls aren't premium. My fried Godzilla roll tasted like someone had accidentally fried a paper towel after it dropped in dirty dishwater. Not sure what happened there, my other rolls didn't wow me, but they at least tasted good. Ordering hibachi at a regular table was a mistake. Steak was cold, and scallops tasted off. I was sure I was gonna get sick, and surprised I didn't. The rice is bland. My friend got noodles after rice the last time, hoping to avoid that, but they were bland, too. It's troubling that I can cook better Asian food than an Asian restaurant, but that's the story of Yamato. I don't recommend you spend your time or money here, even with their daily "50% off"."
"The food was amazing in the service was very good"
"Delicious food, reasonable prices for the amount and quality you get. It's not the "cook in front of youc kind if place, if that's what you're looking for...But the food quality may as well be like if it were! Best chicken teriyaki I've ever had. The Jade Roll was a surprise as well. I've passed this place for so many years, skeptical on how I would feel...I wish I tried this hidden gem sooner!"
"Special Atlantic roll was good but sashimi portions were relatively small. Tried out hibachi another time on a Sunday night, there were not many customers. Hibachi was high in sodium, sauce usage was quite generous making everything quite salty, salmon and meat quality were okay, nothing impressive. The filet was tender but tasted like a tender cut of cheap meat. Shrimp were large and appear to be good quality."
"Dined in here a few days ago and had a great experience. The food was delicious and staff were friendly. We had spring rolls and 5 kinds of sushi (yummy, Hawaiian, dragon roll, California roll, and chicken tempura)"
