"I’m not a fan the sushi was basic. My chicken was very chewing . I went to this location because it was near the building I was working out of . As a hotel Manager the customer was service was not there at all . One I was given a to go platter when clearly was sitting down to in dinner for lunch which the time was around 12:45pm . I work on this field and always looking for new places to recommend my guest . My colleague brought a tea and it was water down. When she mentioned this to the worker he just said this is just how it is not I can make it over which would’ve been the correct thing also there was a gentleman of another race who the workers kept asking oh is everything ok but not once I as I greeted besides when I was paying . Will not go back will not recommend"

"Great for lunch or dinner! This place has become one of the best sushi spots in Philly. Completely renovated and under new management. Absolutely the best bang for your buck in Center City as pretty much every other Japanese restaurant is very overpriced. Kabuki has great quality food, a perfectly clean environment, friendly service... truly has it all. Also BYOB!! Cannot recommend this place enough."

"After making a reservation, we arrived for dinner. We were seated after a few minutes and then ordered relatively quickly. One person out of the three of us ordered a kitchen dish and the other two of us ordered sushi. We also got two bubble teas and a few appetizers. The appetizers arrived fairly quickly and were fine. The taro and Thai bubble teas also arrived quickly but were bitter, and the tapioca pearls were mushy, and none of it had any sweetness. We were informed when we ordered that it would take about a half hour before we would get the main courses, which we said was okay. After about 30 minutes, the kitchen dish came out. After waiting another 40 minutes (over an hour from ordering) we never received any sushi. In the meantime, about a dozen orders of take out were completed while we sat there, ignored. The waitress would not make eye contact with us and so we decided to leave. We went to the cash register and told her we were going and that the bubble teas which we did not finish were not good. She removed them from the bill along with the sushi but after having us sit there for over an hour, she still charged us for all of the appetizers and the kitchen meal (I don't hold this against them, I just don't think that's the decent thing to do). Lastly, when we were leaving, we walked past the sushi bar and they had not even started preparing our order. This place was a complete waste of time. I would not come back again."

"I took my parents out to Kabuki Sushi for dinner last night. Food was great, ordered Kabuki Love Boat because we are Sushi and Sashimi lover. My wife loved the salmon, its super fresh! Location is perfect, just couple mins walk from Chinatown, i was able to visit Chinatown for grocery shopping and walk to the restaurant for dinner. Great service, will definitely visit back again!!!"

"LOVE THIS PLACE. I just was reading some of the poor reviews, and they are way too harsh and too critical. As a repeat customer, I have never had a bad experience here, the sushi is great quality, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I order the lunch special at least once a month here. It is always on time with the order time. Never late. And the price is completely reasonable. I will continue to order sushi from this place. I usually get spicy salmon and tuna, and shrimp tempura. These rolls turn out great. I hope this clears the air on some of the bad reviews. I really love this place."
