"Our family of 4 (adults) popped in here during stay near Okemo on a snowy Friday afternoon. It was not crowded so we got a great cheese tasting and education on the cheeses. It would be great if they offered wine to purchase or crackers with the cheese or even water to cleanse pallete between tastings.but we understand it’s a cheese factory not a tourist attraction."
"This is the real deal for cheddar. It reminded me of being young at the local dairy growing up. Cheeses made with real care and very good choices. Real vintage part of a Vermont visit."
"I truly don't understand all the 5 star reviews. It's a tiny store with a bunch of overpriced jams, mustards, etc. Yes, they have free cheese samples, and maybe that's worth the drive for other folks but it was a waste of time and gas to me. Edited to respond to the owner: I was not looking for a store, I was looking for the experience you described below. There must be more than one location, because none of the "active cheesemaking" etc was available at the location I went to, other than one person working in a tiny and unobservable area lableled "employees only" that was clearly not meant for people to learn about cheesemaking. My one star was because it was ONLY a tiny store with overpriced items without the rest of the advertised experience. There were no signs indicating tourists were welcome anywhere on the grounds other than the store, and the employee was certainly not letting anyone know of the same. We spent quite a lot of money on non-mass market produced products at Billings Farm that same day, but then again we really enjoyed the educational experience they provided that was even better than advertised. So I do hope prospective visitors will see this and decide how they would like to spend their time and money."
"They have amazing cheese! The staff is very friendly and gives you plenty of information on the products and the cheese making process. Unfortunately on the days we have gone they weren’t making cheese (dates posted on their website, so it was our fault) but they do offer a tour when they are making cheese or alter the schedule if you call ahead! We will come back every time we are in town!"
"Absolutely loved this place. Local Vermont goods, rustic old building, and the cheese!!! Can't say enough about the cheese. It was DELICIOUS!!! Especially the Unusually Sharp Cheddar!!! If you like sharp cheese, you're gonna LOVE this!!! The owner was super friendly and informative!!!"
