"At first my wife and I were attracted to this new development because of the location, modern nice looking homes, and nice family friendly community. At first we also liked Robin Jeffers, the leasing agent/property manager. However all of this quickly changed as we made more phone call and did more research and had more interactions with Robin and the management company. We had read some things online but wanted to give them a chance. Unfortunately it seemed to be true. Urgent phone calls and emails were not responded to quickly, Robin went out of town without letting us or anyone else know her return date and no one else at her company could help us. We also had some mold concerns. We were coming in from out of state with two kids and Initially Robin gave the impression that getting the home we wanted should be no problem. We took another trip up to visit and Robin seemed to be no longer trying to help us get the home. Even though we had put our application in early, she started talking about how someone she knew locally had been wanting the house we did. Then Robin delayed our application for weeks, and in our opinion seemed to put up artificial hurdles to prevent us from getting the home. Even more concerning is that she repeatedly said false things about us to prevent us from getting the home. After weeks of this bad experience, we were then rejected because of their policy that you must have a Vermont Income stream or have more than $72,000 in the bank. We have a successful multi-location business out of state and are planning to, but have not yet expanding into Vermont. I want to emphasize this, that we are opening a business in Vermont within weeks, but because at that moment we didn't have a Vermont income stream she required $72K in the bank. Robin was very clear that this policy applied to everyone who applied so we wanted to warn anyone we could about this policy - if you own your own business, or are moving in from out of state be very careful! Our story has a happy ending, within 2 days we found an even better home nearby to raise our young children. And the owners and managers are amazing as well. So it worked out very well for us, but because there are not many reviews online I wanted to share our experience of how we were treated so that it would not happen to others in the future."
