"Lovely salt marsh, excellent trail , parking not huge here but not busy when I came. After marsh, into pine woods, pass over small town, end near highway, past shopping and onto school property."
"This is a great trail. The portion we traveled was not paved but was hard packed dirt and rock. It's fantastic to be away from traffic. My grandson was very excited to complete a 7.1 mile ride. 4 stars? Some of the loose gravel sections are too loose for safe biking - too rough for road bikes, in my opinion."
"It is GORGEOUS, however, much of it is not paved. Cyclists beware, this is signed as a segment of the east coast greenway, but you need gravel tires or better to make it. Good luck using a road bike for more than a mile or so before you hit an unlucky chunk of gravel. Had planned to use this route to bike from Portland to Portsmouth, but it is not possible if your bike does not comfortably handle gravel surfaces. I hope you see this and plan differently if you’re hoping to take a road bike on this route."
"I accessed the trail from Eastern Rd, off of Blackpoint Rd. The parking lot had plenty of space. I particularly enjoyed watching red-winged blackbirds right by the parking lot. The trail itself is wide and only pedestrians and cyclists may use it. The marsh is accessible by a couple of unofficial side trails. The other big feature is the golf course you walk by."
"I absolutely love walking out here! It's a great place to walk, bike, year-round. Dog friendly (leash required). Many photos opportunities. There are white egrets, great blue heron cranes, crows, glossy ibis, seagulls and a whole lot more birds! Fun for the whole family!"
