Collaborative School 41 Pineland Drive, New Gloucester, ME 04260

"I have seen witnessed my mother and grandmother deal with this school as guardians of a family member. Everything I have heard and witnessed first hand with this school is an absolute disgrace. I've been scared for myself and for my family with the behaviors and the matters that have arisen with a family member who attends this school, and the school sweeps all the problems under the rug. I have seen this school coddle and baby this family member and he is able to do what he wants when he wants! Destruction of the school, "that's okay, he's having a rough time". This school was shown by the family member an incriminating video that was taken of this person beating somebody up. The school failed to report this ( supposedly she told a cop friend about the video and he said not to worry) and just had this member delete the video. What happened to mandated reporting when this family member is saying he depressed and suicidal, but, the school does not but sends him home. I am absolutely disgusted at the way this school manipulates and walks all over an elderly guardian. This school will not help your child. From what I have seen is they will hurt them in the long run, causing more problems for you and the family."

"The school is generally too strict, although the highschool students get pay (amounts based on behavior), and the school stores are a fun motivation to cooperate. The teachers will often hover oher students and eavesdrop on them, which is a large downside for it. Overall, I give it a 3/5 stars."

"I was a student here for 10 years, and most of the teachers and staff survived it. That said, this is one of the best Special Development schools in the state of Maine, if not the best. I cannot stress this enough, they were able to deal with me for a decade, that alone should tell you how incredible the faculty here are."
