Walmart Supercenter 258 River Road, Mexico, ME 04257

"I like to call this 'The smallest Wal-Mart in the world" it is labeled as a supercenter because it sells food, however it's incredibly tiny. Although they do seem to stock one off items that you can't readily find at other Wal-Mart centers, it lacks the stock you may be use to finding at other locations. There are only a few check out lines, and just 1 isle of self check outs. It's great because even on a crazy busy holiday weekend, or during their busiest of times it still only has 1/4 of the customers you would ever find at a regular Wal-Mart. The locals don't seem to understand this, and think it gets crazy busy! At most I have only ever seen maybe 75 cars in the entire parking lot. and, DONT GET CAUGHT 2 minutes after closing and not be currently in a check out line, because the night staff are incredibly rude, condescending and invasive."

"The store is smaller than some walmarts I've been to. Service is good. Help can be difficult to get as the staff is fairly small, it seems. Only walmart in town is the main benefit."

"This is the only grocery store within at least 45 minute radius of our home in Bethel where we can find lamb. This week I bought American Lamb lamb leg steaks seasoned with rosemary for the second time. They are fantastic! 3 minutes per side, on each of its four sides at medium high heat cooks them to a perfect medium rare. If you want them cooked a little more thoroughly, you can either do one minute per side after you finish the 3 minutes per side or, simply cover the pan while they are cooking. I also bought some beautiful fresh turnip greens when I was there earlier this week. It was my first time cooking them, but they came out very well and were incredibly fresh! Even after 3 days in the crisper drawer they were still firm and snappy"
