On The Beach Motel 61 West Grand Avenue, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

"Going at the end of September isn't a good idea. The ocean was gorgeous; however; hardly anything was open, most places had closed for the season. It would have been appreciated, if we were told this on our arrival with suggestions of things to do and places to eat. The room was nice, but ocean view room is misleading; there's a small window in the back of the room, that if you stretch you head around, you have an partial ocean view. Although the ocean was right behind the motel. Also, there was no cable television, only local channels."

"We enjoyed our stay tremendously! The room was very clean and spacious. The staff and owners were friendly, gracious, and very helpful. They were very accommodating to my needs as i have some difficulty walking and climbing stairs. Motel location couldn't have been better. No crossing any roads to get to the beautiful sandy beach, it's right there. Walk out of room and down a short boardwalk pathway and bam! You're on the beach. It wasn't crowded or noisy just the calming sounds of the sea. Gift shops, markets, restaurants (dine in and takeout) all within walking distance. Many delivery options for food as well. Forgot something, Dollar General and Family Dollar only a 2 minute drive. We are definitely planning more trips and staying here again!"

"We had an absolutely amazing stay in Early September. The rooms were recently renovated and absolutely spotless; so close to everything including the beach which is why they are changing names to On The Beach Motel...SO appropriate!!! Cannot recommend this place enough. JJ, the owner is a life long resident and so hospitable. Will definitely be back!!!"

"We stayed here for a 2023 girls trip (4 of us). The location was amazing and I can't say enough for the staff. Shirley in the office was amazing and hilarious. The owner was great, he definitely cares about his guest exeriences and stays here. The room was clean with plenty of room for the 4 of us. We have already planned on re-booking for next year and I want to come back with my husband and kids as well."

"The Old Colonial exceeds expectations. Great customer service and JJ really cares about his customers and makes sure guests are comfortable. My family and I stayed here in May and we are definitely planning on going back and booking with Old Colonial. A couple of the many great things is the location and easy accessibility to the beach and downtown. Old Colonial is quiet and very clean with truly great views of the beach. Rooms are spacious and very clean. To be very honest they have a wonderful management/staff and a great environment to be in. Pool is heated during the cold months which is great. I highly recommend the Old Colonial. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
