"Absolutely disgusting. Dirt, grime, dust, bugs, stains. Stench odor. If you can name it, they’ve got it here. Horrible. I seriously considered sleeping in my car. By far worst place I’ve ever stayed. PLEASE spend the extra $$ on a nicer place if you can, you will thank yourself. Yes, the cheap price looks enticing, but trust me, it’s NOT worth it."

"It's great for what it is -an inexpensive motel, so don't expect lots of amenities. We had lots of activities planned and really just needed a safe, clean place to sleep, and Tallwood fit that bill! AC kept our room cool, the beds were incredibly comfy, and service was great! Anything we needed they got for us quickly. Tv worked, shower had plenty of hot water and the fridge worked well. They have a wonderful pool that we enjoyed several times. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star review is that they advertise a game room and we couldn't find one. That was a disappointment to my teenage son who was at times bored and the game room would have come in handy... We would definitely stay here again!"

"Owner is so friendly and easy to talk to. Very acknowledgeable about stuff going on in the area, great with directions. Don't read all the negative reviews online - you must come experience it for yourself. Outdoor pool is cute and fenced in. There is ample parking, and lots of outdoor grills so you can bring food to grill. There is a huge mini fridge and also a microwave in the rooms. Rooms are small but cute. We came when for a weekend when literally every room was booked. Definitely recommend!!! 10 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Overall our stay wasn't a bad experience, the location to everything was absolutely great and our service was fine. The price is really what's best about this hotel, however, you kinda get what you pay for. Our little cottage was adorable and had a nice little screened in porch, it was relatively quiet other than the train going by but that's not the hotels fault. One thing that was a disappointment was that we were gone all day and had left our A/C on when we left so that the room would be cool when we returned after spending the entire day in the heat only to find that housekeeping had turned it off. It also looks as though they are doing some upgrades and renovations, which are great, however they should be investing in new mattresses and pillows as ours were so bad that we left early so we didn't have to sleep in the bed for a second night."

"A tent would have been better than the room we had. We were greeted by a spider, crawling across the toilet seat. My wife was not as friendly as I. Let's just say he does not 'live' there anymore. Then there was the ants. The reception area, was in the basement of a home. You have to ring a doorbell in the office, and wait sometime for someone to respond. The person I worked with, was just straight business. Felt like I was interrupting their watching TV, and they were bothered to come down to provide service. I was still dealt with politely. The pool, though we did not use it appeared to be kept up better than the rest of the accommodation. The deal with this place when we made the reservations was there were no refunds for cancelations. We took the loss, and found a much better accommodations, for less money."
