Cottages at Summer Village 454 Post Road, Wells, ME 04090

"We’ve rented our cottage via AirBnB. First off we got caught off guard telling us to “bring your own towels/sheets/blankets”. I was panic! We were traveling from California, I have never been to a travel stay and being asked to provide own such basic amenities!!! We negotiated with our host, luckily she agreed to provide those as “complimentary”. The cottage turned out nice, clean and comfy. However, at night, it was pitch dark with absolutely no lighting anywhere! Also it is adjacent to a deep wooded area with no fence or blockage to that wooded area. As a facility that should be family friendly with kid playgrounds and swimming pools, I would be seriously concerned to stay in a property environment like that if we had little kids! For that reason I gave low rating to the “location”."

"Amazing location. Cottage was great and had everything that we needed. Kids loved the basketball court, pools, play ground and pickleball. Air conditioning and washer/dryer in the cottage made the experience so much easier. So many local businesses, little shops and great restaurants. Highly recommended."

"As they say in the car (or sex) industry, your mileage may vary; each of the cottages are individually owned so the level of confort (we had to provide our own linens), the decoration and the completeness of the kitchen (of which I always doubt) is up to the owner/renter. That being said, the village is quite nice, the collective installations wonderful, it is well located and maintained. It is also very quiet (our toddler was probably the biggest disturbance around)."

"Stayed here a week to use as a base camp while exploring the southern Maine coast. Nice location and friendly staff. Road around the village was 1.8 miles making it a nice daily walk. Grounds and pool were well maintained. Very quiet and relaxing. Would stay here again!"
